When a comic does stuff like swapping one team out for another or just invalidating years of stuff wholesale, it makes me wonder why I'm even bothering to read it.
 
....For the enjoyment of the story? I mean, unless you're some kinda comic book historian, why should you bother getting your panties in a bunch? We got wars, people dying of aids in Africa, transsexual porn stars committing suicide! And yet, you pick THIS s**t to Jap out on?
 
I generally don't care much about real world stuff. I listen to the news and keep up with what's going on, but ultimately it doesn't really evoke any passion from me.

Fictional history, on the other hand, does. Maybe my brain's wired wrong or something, but I think about how things in comics fit together with stuff that's come before more than I do about the news.
 
Aww man, I hope they don't restart it... the current run's great... and how many times can you retcon the Legion?
 
As many times as it takes for it to sell like it did back in the 70's again.

Me neither, though I generally put most of my attention towards porn and hookers, but you know, that's just me.

I like his overall style and the majority of the costumes, but I don't know about Brainy's. He looks like he's going on safari.

Given how prominent the Silver Age Karate Kid is now becoming, I'm wondering if he'll be transplanted into the ongoing LoSH's world. The dude in that preview pic is wearing his costume.

WTF? Oh-kaaaaay. Some costumes are improvements while others....suck. Some are obvious remakes of the Cockrum era but in a sucky way. Saturn Girl's bikini on top of clothes? WHY?!

And Timber Wolf reminds me of Benimaru from King of Fighters and thats' NOT a good thing. Cham in chainmail? What? Did they use that old Elseworld's Annual where the Legion were like King Arthur and his round table? I gotta agree that the Brainy overalls should have stayed in the Silver Age era. And the symbol on his chest is always associated with the Computer Tyrants which fills me with dread.:(

Invisible Kid is an improvement and Phantom Girl's updated Cockrum costume was done well. The others are pretty ok. Yeah, I know I'm late for this rant. so sue me!!:p

Yeah, I had a pretty even mix of costume redesigns that I liked and disliked in that preview.

Liked:

Starboy
Light Lass
Shadow Lass
Phantom Girl
Saturn Girl (I think the bikini looks pretty good over a red jumpsuit)
Colossal Boy/Micro-Lad
Karate Kid
Invisible Kid

Disliked:

Brainiac 5
Timber Wolf (it looks like he's wearing a girl's costume to me)
Lightning Lad (his costumes always look boring when they lack white)
Chameleon Boy
Element Lad (white, red, and yellow just don't look good in those proportions)
Ultra Boy (to be fair, I don't think I've ever liked one of his costumes)
Sun Boy (not sure on this, actually, but it looks like he's wearing a jacket and tights, which I don't think really makes sense for a guy who generates heat)

Element lad had some cool costumes that had only black and white. Heck, even the one with pink I like better than this one.
Ultra Boy is one of the characters I most like, but I have to agree that this current costumes is one of his worst ones. I liked his kinda civilian look when he was an adult.
Sun Boy has been rather unfortunate in the costume dept. I'd have to see this one closer up, but the guy has been very unlucky. The costume they made for his batch SW6/Legionnaires version was VERY good, though.

Heh, I came across this looking for an image of Ultra Boy's costume. Pervs...:woot::p

Ultra Boy was really more powerful than Clark back then? That's kind of cool.

This Newsarama interview with Jim Shooter has more pictures of Sun Boy's new costume. It is indeed a jacket with tights.
 
I dropped this title from my pull list, today. I like the art, and the drama between the team members, but overall, it just felt like it was falling far short of what it could potentially be.
 
It certainly isn't what it was under Waid, but Shooter's run has still kicked ass.
 
Geoff Johns' legion in action comics is better!

Probably my favourite incarnation of the legion. Problem was the comics became too much like a soap opera - more and more legionnaires, legionnaire's getting married to one another, getting into relationships, breaking up, teen angst, coping with sexual/racial tensions and discrimination - and not enough saving the galaxy :cmad:
