A) According to Avi Arad, X3 is actually a longer shooting schedule than either the other two films were. They'll be wrapped before the end of next month most likely and then they'll still have all of 6 mos. left for post and may have already gotten started on it from day one into the shooting for all we know. Supes, King Kong, Hulk & several others worked on FX simulateously with the shooting. First X film was working on Cyke's optic blast for the train station scene before they wrapped the rest of the shoot.

B) Ratner using Whedon's run on Astonishing as source material is NOT lame at all. It's one of the best runs in X-men history EVER! And 2nd, the key words in your quote being "source material". EVERYTHING in a comic book film adaptation is based off of SEVERAL sources. Look at how well "God Loves" and "Phoenix saga" meshed together in X2 (Other examples: Spider-man 1 & 2, Sin City, Batman Begins...etc.).

And Also, they only used lines from a scene in Astonishing for the audition readings of Kitty Pryde because the actual script was so secretive. I doubt anyone on this board has read the script and whatever leaked before has changed so many times that only the filmmakers really know what's totally in store for us. It is still changing and will continue to change until they lock picture. Again, that's how they did the other 2 X films and how they are doing Superman also. Keeping the writers on hand is for the better in these cases. Nothing to be scared of.

C) Vaughn only left because he would miss home too much. Not cause it was too rushed.

D) How often does a movie poster come out before filming starts? All the time. Just come to Hollywood sometime and I'll take you on a drive past all the studios and billboards on Sunset. Remember Hulk's teaser trailer that came out after they were only a few weeks into shooting? God, I think Spider-man had one before they even casted Tobey. Remember when he trapped the helicopter between the 2 twin towers? Posters, teaser trailers, web sites, whatever. Studios start the buzz on something as soon as they can.

I'm no expert on this stuff, but I'm pretty sure the whole androgeny thing is not new. That stuff has been around at least since Grace Jones was a model. I have no idea why this is such a big thing in the model industry, cause I sure don't find it attractive at all.

The Domincan born (raised in NY) model/actress Omahyra Mota has officialy joined the cast! The role she plays is unknown at this moment in time. She's had small roles in State Property 2 and Brett Ratner's After the Sunset. She's already been spotted on the set of the movie when they shot scenes at Robson Square/VAG a few weeks ago.

She looks similar to Marrow.

I don't agree. You can't compare something like War Of Worlds which was financed by two of the richest and most powerfull men in Hollywood (Spielberg and Cruise) to X-Men 3. X3 doesn't have that kind of clout behind it nor do they have creme de la creme in effects houses working on it in post. Thats not saying that Framestore, Pixel Magic etc aren't good. It's just that ILM, WETA, Sony Imageworks are still a cut above the rest. If they could sign one of those then i wouldn't be so worried about top notch fx.

and Ratner is no Spielberg .
the man has the habit to work with fx and he is a major talent..he knows precisely what he wants and how to get it..

Exactly! Thats why she's a succsessful model. Agencies look for:

1. A distinguishing feature or features.

2.They love androgyny. The fact that someone can look masculine and feminine means they can be put into many different types of shoots or shows.

3. Being able to mold into different looks or look completely different means that they can be used for numerous companies.

That is true, but I would think that the bond between Scarlet Witch and Magneto is stronger than Nightcrawler and Mystique. It would make for a better story. Maybe he sacrifices himself to save her.

I am not saying they should cut their relationship. I am just saying it can happen and has happened in the films already.

I think Omahyra Mota would suit the role of Stacy X or Marrow but when i saw her on set, she kinda lookz like Scarlet Witch on the X-Men Evolution series. It kinda does.

I never really thought of Marrow. I think she might be good, but I would rather not see another type of mutant in this film. We got the stories between the Xmen, the Brotherhood, and Phoenix. We shouldnt have the morlocks in as well, and that would be the best way to bring her in.
