Official Rulk Thread

Fixit is basically Banner's adolescent rage. The savage Hulk is childlike in his anger, going off on whatever's in front of him but ultimately forgetting about it as soon as it's gone. Fixit is intelligent enough to be petty and spiteful and hold grudges, just like a teenager.

Mr.Fixit wasnt a "Persona" in Banner's psyche.....Mr.Fixit was an "Alias" for the Grey Hulk persona.

The Gray Hulk represented the more baser instincts of Bruce Banner,he is the physical representation of Bruce Banner's adolescence. That is why the gray Hulk posesses a selfish sarcastic attitude- a somewhat typical teenager from hell attitude. He's not as smart as Banner but he's far more craftier and underhanded than Banner.

The Grey Hulk is also the First Hulk.

So why does he dress like a mobster? I mean, if he's using this "alias" to protect his real identity, wouldn't the fact that he's a hulking gray creature kind of betray that?

no one was calling him professor hulk:oldrazz:

I miss the Professor hulk, why did marvel get rid of it? It seemed like it was a popular status quo too.

marvel seems to fear things getting stale so much that they change things quite often.

I don't know if he was using his Fixit alias to protect his identity. I remember he got a job as a mob enforcer because he consistently turned into the gray Hulk every night during that period.

The Grey Hulk is the physically smallest of all the Hulk persona's.And a Big Grey guy [or any color] isint all that un-common in the Marvel Universe.

He took on the "alias" after it was publicly believed that the Hulk was killed in an other Gamma Bomb explosion. He also took it as a way to make lots of money while keeping a low profile.

Your a bit incorrect. He was not reverting to Banner when he took the job.It was after it was believed he was killed in a Gamma Bomb explosion by the Leader.

The Banner persona was gone for quite some time after....probebly because of the extra dose of Gamma rays.

The Hulk took the job as a way to make money and keep a low profile while the goverment was looking for him.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense than the Hulk just deciding to become a mobster. I didn't know he was believed to have been dead.

Oh, okay. Didn't he turn into the gray Hulk at night for a while at some point, though?

Yes he did....3 times in history as a matter of fact.

First was way back in the 60's when he first became the Hulk....FYI the Grey Hulk was the first.

2nd was when he became the Grey Hulk the second time just after he was re-merged with Banner physically......they were seperated into two bodies for a time.

And 3rd was only a few months after "Joe Fixit" came on the scene. When the Banner persona re-emerged [which if I'm right] was about 2 months to a years time character wise.... he went back to changing at sun-down.....that is till the Savage Green Hulk re-emerged then we had two Hulks running around at different times of the day.

Thats the 90's for you.

No, where Banner transforms into a different Hulk depending on whether it's day or night. Savage greenie for the daytime, gray for the night.

So what happens when the sun goes down on the green Hulk?

Whoa! Do we get a whole new book with Mark Millar and Joe Mad, too?!

I was just kidding. I don't really want a see another Hulk book, especially one written by Millar.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mad do some artwork, though, preferably inked.

Eh, I'm not much of a fan of his art anymore. I liked him on Battle Chasers, but since I started seeing artwork for Ultimates 3, it just hasn't looked all that great to me. Frankly, I'd be happy if McGuinness drew the Hulk forever--although, preferably with someone other than Loeb writing.

McGuinness drawing the Hulk forever? That's like, what? 9 issues?

Curse McGuinness and his fickle ways.

Although, maybe he could do an issue or two of Thor or Incredible Herc afterward...

I doubt it. I think Loeb has said that both he and McGuinness intend to stay on Hulk for at least 24 issues, meaning that when it's all said and done in 2014, Incredible Hercules will be long gone in favor of the green Hulk's return and Thor will probably be canceled again.

So I just recently got caught up with all my comic reading and I gotta say, Loeb really threw me for a loop on this one. Rick becoming the new Abomination or "A-bomb" and Red Hulk not being Jones OR Banner... It's not what I expected but I'm not totally against it.

And my guess for Red Hulk's identity is going to have to be Glen Talbot.
