Official Rulk Thread

I been reading Hulk and I'm normally a Loeb supporter but the way he's writing Hulk........he doesn't know about the Hulk's healing factor. I know he's just showing how powerful Red Hulk is but Green Hulk is being powered down big time. I'm scared to see how he's going to write Thor in the next issue. I won't knock Loeb to badly cuase, even though some of the writing is crazy, I'm curious as to how he will tie all the loose ends up........Rick being the new Abomy, Doc being the Red Hulk, the Hulk being savage again after being WWH..........alot to tie up.

I just assume Hulk has been massively powered down due to the events of WWH.

Comics tend to be cyclical like that. They power them, then power them down.

If Red makes Thor pass out in the same sleeper hold as both Hulk and She-Hulk I will be officially done with this title. :whatever:

But that actually happened, he was referencing continuity.

And it isn't the first time the Hulk has had a body part broken, and it won't be the last probably. They're showing off how powerful this new Red Hulk is. Come on guys, seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

I agree, your blind defense of this book is getting ridiculous.

Haha...no. I mean go ahead and attack the writing and all that, Loeb is definitely not on the same plane (or is it plain) that he was a mere 5 years ago but don't make **** up to bash the book. The book is not perfect, far from it but to be all "LOL! He passed out because he broke his arm" when that's not what happened is, ridiculous. Just like when people complain that Loeb ignores everything else and doesn't reference continuity but when he does do it, you guys still bash him for that. Seems like the dude can't win. And yes, this time I'm defending Loeb.

No, but Hulk passed out because he broke his arm remember.:whatever:

Honestly, if Red Hulk beats up Thor, I may have to complain about this ****.

Well, green Hulk usually roughs Thor up...if green can, then it shouldnt be hard for red to do it as well...

Well Thor does possess the OdinForce opps I mean the Thor Force! Thor did kill Thing, Wolverine, and Hulk all by himself during the Reigning storyline!

This ani't your grand daddies Thor now is it Cap'n? He gets owned by this red *****e bag then it's official that Loeb has lost his mojo, and it may never return.

Actually the WWH was IMO overrated and basically a Hulk fanboy's wet dream! Planet Hulk was WAY BETTER! Incredible Hercules is BAD ASS! So far this series is been borning! I plan on stopping my subscription after issue 5

Though a lot of PH and WWH catered to the Hulk fans (or fanboys, whatever...) it was basically a story that revolved around the Hulk's personality and how he's treated by the other heroes. They call him a monster until he saves them all, then they call him a hero. But just as easily they go back to calling him a monster and do stuff like trick him into spaceships and send him to other worlds.

And one of the biggest cool-factors of Planet Hulk was that everyone KNEW he was going to come back and give the Illuminati some payback and that's awesome.

And because superhero fights are the best part of superhero comics, WWH wins in my book.

But he can win. All he has to do is write a story that doesn't blow.

He could "win" if he could actually write worth a ****. You can't deny that, in the past few years, Loeb's abilities as a storyteller have absolutely plummeted. And like I said earlier, I don't bash Loeb for the sake of bashing him; I enjoyed most, if not all, of his collaborations with Tim Sale. But every new book he has put out has just been a colossal ****-up. There's absolutely nothing worth defending here.

And re: Hulk, even from an action-centric point of view (since you apparently excuse the ****ty writing), this book is still a failure the fights aren't even exciting or cool-looking. The Abomination is shot off-panel, She-Hulk is beaten up off-panel, the "A-bomb" doesn't even last one issue, and the green Hulk--who has inexplicably become weaker and dumber--is defeated by a broken arm? Come the **** on, man.

I disagree highly with that. Look at Corp who hates the book. He has a fight scene with the A-Bom as his wallpaper. And who says those guys won't show up again. You truly believe he has ended his battle with Rick Jonesabominatio and Green Hulk? Please.

And again, he wasn't defeated by a broken arm.:whatever:

Also, to repeat, if Red Hulk whoops on Thor, I will join your side. So hope that Red Hulk beats up Thor to bring peace across the internet.

The Hulk was passing out due to the pain from his broken arm as was stated by the red GSC who had to constantly shake him to keep him awake so he would not transform back to Banner.

He then did not use his arm showing it was still broken. The guy has a healing factor better then Wolverine's; what happenned to it?

And in all likelyhood, the red GSC will at the very least tie with Thor or beat him because having the Hulk fighting him again in number 6 would make no sense otherwise.

The pain of a broken arm is not enough to make Hulk pass out, period. I contend that Red's right arm was cutting off green's oxygen, just like with She-Hulk. He even said the same thing, "I could kill you any time I want."

I'd prefer to see the dissent continue rather than see Thor lose. Not for me, you understand, but because DACMAN will be totally ****ing insufferable if that happens. :o

Yeah, but wouldn't that be no matter what the outcome?

Eh, you're right. Even if Thor won, he'd probably crop the whole comic down to one panel where the red Hulk punches Thor and claim the red Hulk kicked Thor's ass.

He is powerful like that.

I'm surprised he's not in here defending this book. I'm reading my posts on here and thinking that DACMAN hacked my account sometimes. I'm done defending this book, let this thread fall into the perils of conversation like this.

"man, I hate this book."

"yeah, it's so stupid"

"Yeah, it sucks"

"Yeah...so...."

"Yup...."

:csad:

You'd be surprised how far a thread can go based on hate alone.

What is it with Hulk and everything happening off panel... that was the problem with WWH... One panel we see the New Avengers, next panel they're all unconscious.
