Huh runs parallel with how most...er...some people think of the SW prequels.![]()
Not really, people don't like the visual aspect of the PT either.

Did Tolkien write that Radagast had a bunny sled? I have a hard time believing Tolkien would come up with something so silly borderline stupid.
Exactly, and pretty much everything other then Bilbo and Gollum's eyes should be hard to see.
Yes you can.
Also, that the beginning of the contest. If Gollum is creepy before that and starts acting cute and cuddly, what is the point? He should never be cure and cuddly.
Yeah because Tom Bombadil is the most transcendent and serene character ever written.
Or you know walking on foot to destroy a dangerous weapon when you have close connections with a race of giant intelligent eagles which you end up asking for help in the end anyways.
Tolkien takes transportation dead seriously.
Your comment on the eagles tells me you've either never read the books or didn't pay attention while doing so. The eagles are a proud noble race of beings. Not pack animals. They don't do things to make mankind's burdens lighter.
Radagast sees your hate of the bunnysleigh and how much does he care?Dont take this the wrong way but your comment on the eagles tells me you've either never read tolkiens material and notes or may have not paid attention while doing so. I hear this comment all the time from the uninformed. The eagles are a proud noble race of sentient beings. Not pack animals. They don't do things to make mankind's burdens lighter. You wouldnt want some lesser being piggybacking on you would you?
Regarding Tom, i despise that character but it has little to do with the creation of unnecessary cgi sled bunnies. Jackson added the bunnies they werent created by Tolkien. Im ok with jackson changing and adding when it makes sense or is in keeping in line with Tolkien and his world. A maiar riding a sled dragged by bunnies like its the Iditarod isnt in line with Tolkien.
It isnt a deal breaker by no means but it is an annoyance.

Yeah no sh**, but do they not have a stake in the fate of Middle Earth?
How would it have been any different than when they save Frodo and Sam after the job was done. Was it different because they were saving their lives?
Thousands of lives would have been saved if they helped before.
Intelligent eagles too proud to become a deus ex machina are no less goofy than rabbit sleds. Does the rabbit sled really effect the story or anything? Its just a fantastical element and part of their version of Radagast's image. How dare the filmmakers express any kind of imagination.
Also theres a shot of Radagast treating one of the rabbits while explaining the dark influence of the Necromancer. The light and fantastical elements of Radagast and the forest will contrast nicely with the influence of the Necromancer.

That would be impossible, because it would suggest he is even more awesome than that gif already makes himIt just occurred to me: what if Radagast can alter his size, and the rabbits are ordinarily proportioned?

Wait are you guys even positive the sled is pulled by bunnies? Look at that gif, they aren't even attached to the ropes. I think they're just running along beside him and we can't see what's pulling him. I don't even think they're giant, they just look it because they're in the foreground.

Some folks are saying that the sled "proves he doesn't understand the material." In what way exactly? Radagast is closely associated with animals and lives in Mirkwood.
Not Tolkienlike enough?
