Embargo lifting that early is usually a good sign.

Considering he cut sauraman from ROTK I wouldnt put it past Jackson to cut the battle, BUT Jackson likes his prologues, it opens the film with a bang, it establishes the Dwarves struggle and where Thorin got his namesake, and if all details are to be believed it gives us a fleeting glimpse of smaug or his shadow. Thats a lot to lose imo.

I hope you are right and we don't lose it, but I don't know what to think right now.

it wouldn't surprise me if we see some lucky fans tweet about the movie.

bryan singer has seen it

Bryan Singer ‏@BryanSinger Just saw #Hobbit. Having some serious frame rate envy. Amazing and involving. Loved it! And @ianmckellen118, my friend, you are brilliant!

edit: and some more tweets

Kylie Klein ‏@KokoKabana

Standing ovation for Peter and Fran. #hobbit http://instagr.am/p/SkB96EuXgB/

Loving the tweets, Bryan Singer liking it gives me faith, although I am little cautious as Green Lantern also got good twitter reviews.

You can't seriously compare Green Lantern to something like this.

Those wolves still look awful to me. Really cartoonish looking.

Other than that I'm super excited for this to come out.

Holy smokes!

They really made Christopher Lee look convincingly younger without it being obviously tinkered with. Major kudos. :wow:

It's a really beautiful shot isn't it?

Beautiful enough to make terrible poetry about. :yay:

Truthfully, every bit of footage of her in this film is ridiculous in its beauty. Peter Jackson deserves an award just for that.

Question about 48fps (HFR). On the official IMAX website the number of theaters that it says are playing it in 48fps isn't anywhere near the amount this site is saying.

Anyone have any clue as to who's right? I'm going to guess the IMAX site would be more accurate?

EDIT: Never mind it seems as if this site is more up to date and thankfully does have my theater of choice listed.

Well the IMAX list only shows IMAX theaters and the other one shows all theaters.

The initial IMAX blog site though wasn't showing a whole lot of IMAX theaters though. The other site I just edited in has a bunch of other IMAX venues the first site didn't even mention. That's what was throwing me off.

It just seems that the first blog site wasn't up to date is all.
