Man that dwarf battle looks epic. This film is so beautiful, my heavens. Look at the color and the shadows. I love it

Just wondering that maybe The Hobbit should get its own thread knowing that there are still 2 more movies coming out and im sure people may want to discuss other topics on the movies, post pictures manips and talk about their fav characters or rant about what they didnt like.
I was thinking that the other day. I'll see what the admins say.

INDEED. I can see myself a few years from now watching all 6 films drooling into the Carpet hahaha

Holy crap, can you imagine? Watching the Lotr trilogy in one sitting is hard enough.

6 films in one sitting...

Watching the Lotr trilogy in one sitting is hard enough.

It's doable, I did it last year and I'm planning on doing it next week. :oldrazz:

We'll see, I posted a note to them and the other Mods. :woot: I can See C Lee wanting this too. Just a matter of figuring where to place it.

Awesome.

Yeah Imaxes up north of Chicago had all three EXTENDED versions on a screen when they were all released. Basically where you had the continue to next disc. THEY had a break for everyone. I recall it was an all day event and for I THINK three weekends

Can you imagine a THOR battle filmed in the same way? With tons of men on the battlefield and then thor just wrecking bunches of em at a time?!

He said imagine doing it in one sitting. Doing one per night would not count as one sitting. ;)

I have done this with Star Wars and Harry Potter. Both were fun. The HP had this great feeling because I started it early on a Sat and it didn't end until the sun cam up on Sunday.

I'd be asking why Thor just didn't hit them with his lightning.

There are times I wish they stuck with the original Draft so they COULD do it like LotR

Cause that would be no fun.

Come on, if you were Thor, and you had a choice between throwing down a sissy lightning bolt and mowing through a field of your enemies mano-a-mano with your hammer, don't tell you'd go for the former.

So in what order will you be watching the trilogies? I'll probably go in order of their release. That way its less jarring as far as sfx goes.

By they way the Stories SHOULD go HoBbit then LotR :D

Bard and Legolas in There and Back Again. Isn't that the third movie...? Sheeeesh.

Might've already been posted but....

Jackson Defends Making The Hobbit a Trilogy

I personally don't like the idea. I think it is Hollywood greed at its worst. It is a 300 page book. I get that Tolkein was very concise about some things, but stretching a 300 page book into 3 films is a mistake, IMO. Unless the third film (in which Jackson claims to use all of the appendices, which makes it sound to me like it'll just be a bunch of deleted scenes) is basically The Simillarion, I don't see how this will work.

I believe in winning the game.

I don't want to end on ROTK, so I'll go in order of release.
