I wonder if King Tranduil will be the new action hero character a la legolas. I mean it seems fitting that daddy has some cool moves like legolas did.

I think Peter has Hugo Weaving in the bag, so for those who are scared about him not returning, don't worry.

I also think the many names we've been hearing (Michael Fassbender, David Tennant, & saorise ronan) are also in.

I sure hope so! that would suhweet! :D Its almost hard to believe that after all this time we are actually getting The Hobbit by Peter Jackson! I'm so ecstatic.

So, who do we think did the voice over at the end?

Ian Holm?
Martin Freeman impersonating Ian Holm?
A stranger?

I almost cried while watching this. I didn't expect this to be so long and filled with so much emotion. Just seeing everything again, it did feel like going back home. And I haven't even seen the movie yet. Just seeing the damn sets and behind the scenes almost made me ball. It just shows that not only the films themselves are great, but the people making them from behind are just as great. They're still the greatest crew I have ever witnessed on any film.

Just so many things that got to me. Rivendell, Bag End, seeing McKellen, even Freeman, the dwarves, Serkis back, etc.

And Jackson looks like he's his usual enthusiastic and charming self. My worries have subsided about that. He looks just as passionate and enthusiastic as he did on LOTR. I love that speech he made about how he came around to doing this film.

This will be quite some journey. Following the entire path up to the release of the films will be something to relish and cherish itself.

My thoughts exactly. :funny:

Dori (Hadlow) looks great. I cannot wait to see the rest of the dwarves.

It's like one big family!

Whcih is what I always loved about this crew. They feel like they're their own kin and blood. I've never seen greater bonds on a set. Same with their work ethic. Anyone who has watched the appendices knows what I'm talking about.

Cant.

****ing.

Wait.

:wow::wow::wow:

I loved Martin Freeman's voice-over at the end. It was the cherry on top for me.

If that actually is Freeman at the end, I give him major props. Sounds dead-on Ian Holm.

The voice sounded young to me.

I don't remember that much because I was ****ting my pants and crying at the same time.

I just.... wow... I've been so excited to see the Hobbit for years now (even BEFORE Lord of the Rings) but with all the problems with bringing it to film I just refused to care anymore... always expecting something to go wrong.

Watching that video... man, I'm litterally weak in the knees right now and my gut's all topsy turvy. Chills are running up and down my spine. That absolutely just made my day. I could cry.

I just watched the blog, and I have to say I am so glad to be back in Middle-Earth. Just watching that made me feel so happy and joyful. It just put this big grin on my face. Jackson, his crew, and the cast on these films are such a joy to watch as are the films, and I am looking forward to future blogs. Call me crazy, but as much as I want to see these films now I am looking forward to the journey. These blogs that Peter does are great, and they make the wait bareable and give us a nice look into the production. God, I just love these people.
