Oh ,ya id say ya but that still doesnt mean he's a good actor or can handle a role like thor, especially the way thor speaks and stuff, and it would probably be a crappy WWE movie too lol

Eh. I would at least like to see him audition. Thor is a chracter that size does matter for. Can't pull a Batman Begins or Punisher with this one.

I know, id give him a shot too but acting matters too, you can make someone look taller on screen, dont think you can make someone a better actor on screen though :p

triple h has had to act in front of millions on live television (i know what your thinking) but he pulls that off better than most wrestlers. anyway i think it could work out.

would they be able to give an actor with a smaller build a bit of the juggernaut treatment? once in full costume only his upper arms would actually be showing too, so it would come off looking much better then Juggs

Eh, I guess that could be done as well.

I just love posting pictures... anyway, sure he has the physical presence of Thor, but i just really don't want wrestler. Besides, he's not handsome enough, which Thor should be imo!:P

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! McKidd wasn't a favorite of mine. But a 19 year old THOR?!!! :cmad:

What the Hell are they smoking? Have they read any Thor comics? He's a damn hardcore warrior God. Blake is not a kid either.

Well i don't like the idea of a 19 or 20 year old playing Thor, but lets remember that Thor is imortal, so even though he may look 19 or 20 he could be 2000 years old, which would give him battle expierence that outstrips any known mortal hero or villian.

Yes but Thor should not LOOK 19 or 20 anyway. :p

And what's with the prejudice against wrestlers? Especially for a role like Thor (which can be compared to casting for Conan)? I mean any particular wrestlers or is it just the same old blind "all wrestlers suck"?

Yeah - Lewis for Thor.........

........................and MM for Cap. ;)

:D

Yeah he got the looks for Thor. Thor is supposed to be tall, muscualr and good looking. His features are pretty good. Also Triple H and Tyler Mane looks like they should play one of the Ice Giants or Trolls and not Thor.

You know, there are other interpretations of Thor. He doesn't always look like a pretty boy.

Hey all! :)

Well at least McKidd is not playing Thor...that is the main thing - praise Odin. That would have been the biggest miscast in movie history.

As for the younger Thor, thats a good thing, although 19-20 is pushing it. I would have thought mid 20's.

Oh and the script STILL stinks.

Upper, although you'll always be on my good side because you're a big time Thor fan such as myself and we have been on these boards for a long time we may never agree on the direction of the movie for our beloved Thor. However, I win this round because I wanted an all Asgard movie in the first place.

Yeah i know, but thats why wrestling is so over the top and stupud now, it isnt even good anymore

....when was wrestling good?
I agree with Thorfan, the movie should take place on asgard and possibly end up on Earth. Makes me wonder if they want to do a Tales of Asgard type story first.

I'd say from the late 80s - 90s. It really went downhill once The Rock left.

Damn, I wanted to see that too. Anything to see him, Vinnie Jones, and Nathan Jones go at it. But if it sucks...:csad:

I haven't seen it yet, waiting for the DVD. But reviews are negative.

....when was wrestling good?

After consulting with various people I've discovered a pattern with peoples interest in wresslin':-

You like it as a kid only you beleive it's real. You then get a little bit older, start to find girls interesting, realise that wrestling's fake and not cool and stop watching.

Then, some years later, you flick through the tv and chance upon the it once more; to your suprise you discover that while obviously fake and hokey, that it is enjoyable to watch and fun. You go through a sustained period of interest but this only lasts for so long before you gradually start to realise that it is, infact, $hit.

Then you don't ever watch it again yet still have to put up with jibes from family, friends and colleagues;

"Still watch the wrestling? Haw haw....."

to which you answer in the most tiresome way possible, "No........I haven't watched it in years. :o :cmad: .............."

Wen I see Troy, I see Brad Pitt as Thor! I would love to see him playing that character!

We can agree to disagree. However, your opinion (on this matter) is illogical as far as I can see.

Unfortunately a win for you is a loss for Thor. :csad:

I bet some people who thought that Galactus might look silly on the big screen also believed they had 'won' when he was turned into a cloud. :whatever:
