This is what I was thinking. I used to be thinking for a 6'4" actor (if we can find him). I want an actor not some lame ass Wrestler who can't act. So I was leaning toward Alexander SkosgardWeights, lifts, camera angles (i.e. lord of the rings) all can be used to keep us connected to the character through the same actor no matter who it is. Why cast a known guy for Blake and an unknown big guy for thor or vice versa?
But the last couple of days, I have been thinking the perfect height for the actor is 6'1" - 6'2". So That when he's Blake, he's still a big guy, but normal big. And he'll be crippled and we have the hunch factor. THEN, when he's Thor, they can do the LOTR thing. He'll appear 6'6" and his weight & height will proportionally grow. So he'll be the same person, just more Godlike/bigger. Long hair vs short hair. Beard vs clean shaven. Perfect eyes sight vs glasses. Things like this.
Since Thor will be new, they can change the story a bit to accomodate the idea of Thor & Blake with the same face.
I think we run the risk of having the audience see 2 different people if there are 2 actors. Plus it might be blake that visits Stark in IM2. I want Thor's face on blake then, since Thor is the man!

BTW: I thought he was very good as John Doe, which means he can do Blake. He got good reviews for playing that role. And he was given the lead in primevil (which I liked, but I like croc so what do I know) and in Creek which was given good reviews at Caanes and will be out next year.

I don't know if Eric was not a good banner or if the movie was just lame.
