Oh, I don't agree. Stark is mortal and ages...Thor doesn't.

It's just that the Iron Man franchise was geared to be a self contained movie & not thinking of an Avengers movie beyond. Finding a younger 20 something actor who's snarky but doesn't come out as being jackass is difficult.

RDJ ...an older Thor will have held his own better with RDJ. It's different when it's a male male pair and you are looking for that strong supporting cast. I can live with a couple of young guns in the cast but at what point does Marvel want to make the next splash and bring in a big name.

I honestly had never considered this. It's a valid point. How well will the guy they have for Thor perform with Downey and Sam L?

RDJ is getting paired with Scarlett for pete's sake... I mean I am not saying it's unusual but yeah I think an older Thor will have held his own better with RDJ. How do you know an older Thor would have held his own better? have you seen Hemsworth and Downey Jr share the screen already somewhere? I'm glad they went younger with Thor, the Norse gods age incredibly slow, and Thor should be handsome, as wasp used talk about how good looking he was all the time.

I mean they could have cast an older person but what would be the point if the older guy was't as suited to the role as Hemsworth, and got completely blown off the screen by Downey or Sam L? Branagh picked him for a reason and I'm confident enough in that.

I think she has a good look for Sif. I can't really tell how she'd act as Sif, though, since I've only seen her in Heroes and Reaper. I've been meaning to try and find a period piece with her.

I've seen quite a few places on the net where Natalie Portman has been suggested as Sif. I say no to that. I'm not a big fan of her acting. Plus, does anyone think she's attractive enough to play Sif?

Many many people find her incredibly attractive. Personally, I'm not one of them. The reason you see her name connected to Sif, is in an early article Nikki Finke whom we know to be reliable as hell, reported that she was Marvels favored person for the lead female role.

She wrote it in the same blog post where Hartnett was mentioned as the only candidate for Loki. So the Portman as Sif may not be a definitive thing.

imo it is the smart move she can act has an oscar nom looks like lady sif and is only 2 years older than hemsworth

why wouldn't they cast her and she is a Name not an unknown

huh i think out of all the actors in America that by the end of the year you are part of a select group of maybe 3 people means you are pretty damn good.
