really? i think he is very promising i have liked him more than Lombard as far as outside the UFC MW prospects

very well rounded

great striker with a boxing, karate, and TKD Background and very dynamic standing up with knees, kicks, punches

he has a wrestling background with great takedowns

and very slick on the ground with a purple belt in BJJ

he has finished 24 of his 25 victories - 11 KOs,13 Submissions

Except those kicks could get him in deep s**t. Imagine if that had been Lombard or Silva who caught his legkick. Either one of them would have pounded Mamed out in no time.

I still like Hector way more than Khalidov. Lombard has dynamite in his hands, he's explosively fast, has a nasty killer instinct, olympic caliber Judo, stellar transitions with his submissions and a damn granite chin.

34-2-1-1 (18 KOs; 7 SMs)

Right now, Hector is on a roll. Six years since his last defeat.

^mamed and lombard were suppose to fight till lombard signed with the ufc:csad:

we might get it in the future since mamed said he wants to come to ufc now - he had denied an offer in the past

That would be an awesome match-up. I truly hope it happens.

I wonder if the UFC will still have that offer for Mamed on the table. I hope so. The middleweight division needs more depth and talent.

^^ I'm using GSP as an example if he was in this situation... Overeem is suspended for 9 months, I think that will be the main excuse if he does get rid of him. Why keep someone around if they aren't working for you and you've never liked them in the first place.
Because they've frequently done it before. Leben's failed two drug tests in the UFC and the first time he was suspended for 9 months and they still let him fight again.

Sylvia failed a drug test and they brought him back.

Thiago Silva was out for over a year and they didn't fire him after he got suspsended for a year for submitting a fake urine test. ZUFFA is willing to forgive you, just be honest and come clean.

Well, that other guy didn't make weight yesterday. So I could see how Diaz would think, "If this guy isn't taking this serious, I won't either." Even though the guy eventually made weight today.

CrypticOne, Braulio Estima was on weight and someone from Diaz's camp witnessed him make weight. No one witnessed Nick Diaz made weight. Also there was no paperwork or written agreement saying they need to both make a certain weight and apparently those don't even matter in BJJ.

Another impresive win for the Korean Zombie. Uppercut to Flying Knee to Darce. That's a mixed martial artist.

Yeah, Korean Zombie is the #1 contender. Give that man a title shot. He should definitely face the winner of Aldo/Koch.

Sucks for Poirier but he's a good and young fighter and should recover. Learn from this loss. Also this is IMHO why you should never turn down a title shot. If you have the opportunity to fight for a title in the UFC even if you don't "deserve" it you should take it. Who knows if it will ever happen again. Never say never. Anything can happen in a fight. Matt Serra was a ham and egger who won The Ultimate Fighter comeback season and knocked out GSP and won the title. And now he's probably set for life as a result. Just saying, seize those opportunities because they may never happen again.

I'm wearing my Korean Zombie shirt, right now! Great fight! And here comes his title shot, for sure! He is on quite the roll. He got the Twister on Garcia, KO'd Hominik easy and now this FOTY candidate.

I like both Jung and Poirier, my two favorite featherweights in the division.

WAR KOREAN ZOMBIE!

I'm still reeling from that Zombie fight! Amazing performance!! I jumped out of my chair when Zombie put Dustin to sleep! I need to buy myself that Zombie shirt and quit being so damn cheap!

I love the Korean Zombie!

KZ has really grown on me. When I first saw him fight against Garcia I didn't think too highly of him because it was so damn sloppy, but he's really come into his own since then. There's the George Roop KO, but he's really put on some great performances. He got sweet revenge after getting robbed against Garcia, and now he pulled off a great win vs. Porier. I can't wait until his next fight.

I mean guys, Poirier was probably top five in the division. Zombie is definitely peaking and if you ever put him in a title fight, now is the time.

Aldo/Zombie is honestly, that's the biggest money featherweight title fight you can put on. I mean in terms of hype and build-up it is. I mean yeah I'd bet on Aldo to smash him, but before the fight you can just replay all those battles Zombie had with Garcia, that twister submission, knocking out Mark Hominick in 6 seconds, and you got a money fight.

Yeah, it doesn't matter who gets better at featherweight, no one is stopping the beast in Jose Aldo. He is a huge featherweight and his stand-up is a world better than anyone elses at that weight class.

I would be rooting for the Korean Zombie in that fight, but I just don't see anyone beating him in that division. Aldo's quicker. More powerful. Has an awesome ground game.

The man has Meniere’s disease, he didn't get messed up in a car accident.

but yeah I hope his ear ache does away. lol

No surprise he's sick, I think he's running himself ragged. I think Dana White doesn't have to be at every event, every TUF, etc. I mean like when TUF starts doing more international versions he shouldn't be doing every one of those. Bring someone on you trust to do those and let White do the US version.

You REALLY need to check out Cesar Gracie's statement about thia situation. Stop ragging on Diaz.

Anyone see the video of Nate Diaz walking up to Estima and wanting to fight him right then and there at the competition?! HAHA! It's classic!

DaveMoral, I saw Gracie's statement and it's full of holes. Also Cesar Gracie has constantly enabled Diaz's abhorrent and insubordinate behavior.
