Yeah I saw that the other day, I feel quite bad for Bisping, throughout his career he just fell short at the wrong time to the wrong guy. Was happy to see him win at least 1 title in his career.

Anybody giving Henderson a shot on Saturday? While Bisping is the superior fighter I feel his best form has made him look better than he is. It's only a little more than a year since he fought to a contentious points verdict with Leites. Silva has shown nothing since his injury to show he isn't shot, and Rockhold showed no respect to a fighter he beat in his best form. But against a slugger like Henderson will he be getting the power in his shots? Can he afford to go forward against Henderson when Henderson still has that timing in the pocket?

With the power Henderson has in his hands, he always has a shot. I think Bisping is the better striker & probably overall fighter, but Bisping doesn't have that 1 punch power that can completely shift the momentum of a fight or just end it right there & then.

I think Bisping will win, but I don't think he'll finish Henderson, but don't be surprised if Henderson KO's him, I mean if you saw the Hector Lombard KO you know he still has it.

Hendo put Bisping on his butt 2 times, and won the 5th. Judges don't care. Bisping was scared of a 46 year old man with no knees. :funny:

Hendo won the first 10-8, won the second by again putting Bisping on his butt. How does Bisping get a decision? Draw at best.

He had one Hell of a career. Thanks for everything, Hendo.

Wow, I was completely off regarding Bisping/Henderson. I thought it would be a walk in the park for Bisping but it wasn't.

Very happy that Henderson's career ended tonight, I'm glad he didn't get finished but I'm also glad that he didn't win resulting in a vacated title. A close decision lose is a very Rocky Balboa way to close the curtain & very fitting for such a tough fighter.

Correct decision as well. Bisping won rounds 3, 4 & 5. Henderson 1 & 2. Rounds 2 & 5 were close, but I gave the 2nd to Henderson barely & the 5th to Bisping barely.

Bisping should have been a bit more aggressive with his hands particularly from the 2nd onward, his straights in particular were finding Henderson quite regularly.

wasn't overly impressed by bisping the gegard mousasi i saw tonight would of destroyed him

Closer fight than I expected. Henderson got two nice shots in, but, besides that, Bisping controlled the fight. That forward roll at the end had me pissing my pants. That might have been the last move of Henderson's career. Those two nice shots almost made a new champion especially the one at the end of the 1st.

Some of the fighters & not just McGregor, seem to act like filming those promos is a pain in the ass, that may be the case but it wouldn't doubt me in the slightest if some of those promos actually got some extra PPV buys because they're quite well put together.

I thought from the outset Henderson was a favorable matchup for Bisping. The theory being Bisping has cardio for days, is always going to outpoint him, because he's obviously the busier fighter, and the one constantly establishing forward pressure. It follows then that Henderson's only path to victory required a finish, and so, Bisping's main task was to avoid the big shot from Henderson which seemed manageable to me. I wasn't surprised how much power Henderson still possessed, but I was a little taken back at how competitive the fight was in the later rounds. This sport. I love Bisping but will be fading him against whoever his next defense is.

Mousasi calling out Silva. I was like sweet, but I wanted the rumor of GSP vs. Silva in Toronto to be true, no matter how absurd it sounded. So that fight isn't happening why not do Belfort vs. Silva?

This Rousey ***** again?

She's been gone too long and her striking isn't good compared to Nunes. One last fight for Ronda Rousey!

Meh, but the division's a mess so okay. Doesn't feel big now, but there's a lot going on, and I'm sure the anticipation will heat up come December.

When you are KO'd in the manner Rousey was against Holm, you really need to be away from the sport & more importantly all head trauma for as long as she has been. 6 months an absolute minimum for such a KO, but preferably a year before your next legitimate fight.

That's one of the reasons I'm happy Robbie Lawler is taking some time off & scrapped the idea of fighting Cerrone in NYC. As great as that fight would have been, he was just violently KO'd & in his run as champion he's had a couple of 5 round wars. He should take a year off just to give his head time to recover.

I see a lot of people talk up Nunes striking, I personally have yet to see it. I've watched some of her fights & while she looks like she hits hard, she doesn't look very technical. Almost a little Chuck Liddell like, she throws wide & hard, but potentially reckless. Rousey doesn't look like she has pillow fists herself, both of them I think are more than capable of KO'ing one another. I can't see the fight going the distance. I think Rousey will take her.

Rumours that McGregor is going to announce a semi-retirement & take an extended period of time off after UFC 205, win/lose or draw. Apparently pressure, his high workload both with the media & the fights/camps themselves are apparently causing strains in his personal relationships with his family & is going to take some time off in order to get his affairs in order.

Read an article a few weeks ago that stated something similar but apparently he has intimated that he will make an announcement after the event so it could be accurate.

Let's be real about this. Bellator can afford him thanks to Viacom, and you can say what you want about any other promotion out there, but let's say GSP goes to Bellator...

i'd personally prefer if GSP stayed retired

he's already 35 years old
retired as champion
record of 25-2
avenged his only 2 losses
9 title defenses
3 time UFC WW Champion

nothing left to prove

He has witnessed Lesnar, McGregor, and Nate get multi-million dollar disclosed payouts since he's been on the mend. Perhaps the UFC are hesitant to continue throwing those kind of paydays around and GSP feels slighted. Maybe he's asking for something off the charts. But like I said with the payouts we've seen recently, I'm not sure why that should be a sticking point.

For all we know we're going to get GSP vs. Silva on the Toronto card. Bellator can afford GSP. Viacom would gladly open up the check book if it meant getting a huge name like GSP on the roster.
