Romero/Weidman apparently still isn't signed for UFC 205.

Two title fights are set for the fight. Welterweight and women's strawweight. Also Miesha Tate vs. Raquel Pennington, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Donald Cerrone, and Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy.

Jim Miller vs Thiago Alves just announced

Lets cue up the Cyborg vs Rousey fight talk again.. :wall:

^^^There's no chance of it happening, ever. Its always been talked but nothing happens.

Ronda will steer Cyborg like a plague.

Why would you do that Roy Nelson? Just, why?

i know why he did it and big john mcarthy needs to be reprimanded for his terrible officiating

big foot got dropped with an uppercut and roy landed 5 flush right hands in a row and he had to stop punching for big john to step in

it was a god awful late stoppage and big foot is one of roy nelson's best friends

John McCarthy needs to go

period, I don't care that he's the face of refs, his time has passed

I disagree. He knocked down Bigfoot on his back. I get there can be a bit of a divisive line about when a fight should be stopped, but we have sometimes seen fighters get put in this position and sometimes recover. I don't have a problem with this stoppage.

Yeah, what exactly was wrong with the stoppage? I am all for calling bad stoppages, but what about that was bad from a competitive standpoint? And if Nelson was concerned, why did he keep going?

ok some of these girls need to step up and fight cyborg she needs a top 10 opponenet next

of course

60 percent chance it happens

Cyborg doesn't want to drop weight, Rousey doesn't want to come up in weight

It's not that Cyborg doesn't want to make 135, she physically can't. Apparently her cut to 140lbs is brutal & incredibly difficult, I'm not surprised because I've read multiple times her walk around weight is between 175lbs - 180lbs. Just looking at her next to Lansberg at weigh ins & during fight, she looked like she was a good 1 or 2 proper weight classes bigger, very similar to how Anthony Johnson looked when he was fighting at welterweight.

Cyborg just destroyed a human being. Ronda don't want none.

Dana will not make that fight..Cyborg would knock her chin OFF
Plus it would be so hard for her to drop that weight...she walks around at 180lbs

You know Dana wants that fight for sure the money it would generate would be McGregor/Diaz level for sure.

I think Ronda should stick to her guns & say it's at 135lb or not at all. Sure she might have fought at 145lbs before, but she is without question most natural at 135lbs. It's not like she is big for a bantamweight either, she is distinctly average size looking not significantly bigger or smaller than anyone she's faced. Most of them walk around at between 150lbs - 160lbs in the division including Ronda, Cyborg walks around at 175lbs - 180lbs & is built like a man at that weight.

Any of those supposed 'Top 10' bantamweights that take the fight with Cyborg better make sure they're making a truck load of money because there's no honor or bravery awards handed out for going in to face someone that has a significant size advantage over you.. just ask Conor McGregor.

So Conor is fighting Eddie at 205. Still not sure how Conor has even earned a title shot.

also Conor gets to keep the FW title lol ufc205 will mark 1 year without a title defense when he has been 100% healthy
Per Dana White, McGregor will keep his featherweight title through UFC 205, giving him shot to hold two belts at once. First in history.

Eddie better not drop out.

Wonder of Mcgregor will be more willing to go to the ground this time.

UFC 205 is officially stacked.

3 title fights, as well as the likes of Edgar vs Stephens, Kennedy vs Evans, Cerrone vs Gastelum, Tate vs Pennington to name a few.. on paper this card looks on par with UFC 200 if not surpassing it.

UFC should do this regularly, make like say their June/July event their main show of the year eg their Superbowl, Wrestlemania, World Cup Final ie put the most star studded event possible in the biggest or best arena they can get booked.

Probably the same way BJ earned his WW shot, Edgar earned his FW shot, Sonnen his LW shot or Brock his HW shot to name a few. Rankings aren't everything, money & the biggest fights are.

Until guys start falling off due to injuries and USADA ;) .

kinda messed up UFC is letting Conor keep his FW title after now 3 straight fights outside of the Featherweight Division

it would be stupid to blame a fighter for getting injured i will gladly blame the current fw champ for refusing to defend his title tho

I'm very excited to see McGregor at 155. I feel that weight class is going to be where we see him at his absolute best. The cut to 145 was rough, and 170 I think he loses a little in the gas tank. 155, happy medium. He has a chance at cementing his status as one of the greatest fighters of all time. But with that said, he has a great mind for training, and I think that he'll find his peak performing ability at 155. I'm actually curious to see how McGregor's talk will affect Alvarez. Dude has never really to my knowledge mixed it up with a fighter like McGregor who can get in your head and make you fight out of anger.
