Mike Carey knows where the bodies are buried. The editorial staff seems to be letting him do whatever he wants.

Wanting to turn the adjectiveless X-Men title into a book about the secret history of the X-Men's founder is one thing. Turning it into the adventures of his favorite random character is just... silly. And how many issues is this Emplate story? They knew they were going to tie this title into Necrosha, but they let him go ahead with this anyway.

I think the Emplate stuff has been going on for 4 issues (including the Annual). Really shouldnt have lasted more than 2

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think this Rogue story is seriously getting old now. I know it's mainly Rogue centred but enough is enough. The other characters deserve more credit than this, especially Gambit. Anyone know if he's appearing in this issue by any chance? I think Legacy is heading downhill a bit. This Emplate story has been going on a little too long now. I want to see the other characters do something for once.

I cant believe we are still going through Rogue's Bizarre Adventure. WTF is up with Marvel's editorial and continuity? We are what like 2 months into Necrosha and the Legacy issues STILL havent started and wont till next month. Wouldnt it have made sense to I dont know, have started it after the one shot like the other titles did?

I like how the solicits even brag about Emplate taking out entire teams before... you'd think Carey was writing them himself to play up how amazing Rogue is...

He may be a fantastic person (never having met him, I'll never know), but I absolutely hate him as a writer. I wish he'd just crawl in a hole and never dig himself out.

In a way, I like Mike Carey as a writer. If this comic was simply titled Rogue or something like that, I'd say this was a very good series.

BUT this isn't a Rogue comic. This was once an X-Men team book. The title implies it's about the history, future, and overall legacy of the X-Men. Mike Carey has let his love for the character of Rogue go too far. It's this one thing that has sent this comic spiraling from the best core title into fan fiction territory.

I still like the book, but I loved this book when it was about Xavier. That was awesome (except the horrible Juggs issue).


But on the other hand, it's the only place I can get a decent Gambit fix. (Even if he is still apocing out here and there, thanks Milligan you hack.)

I really like Rogue, so I don't mind the series being based on her but this story is boring as all hell. Astral Porjection Rogue flying around for 4 issues? zzzzzz

I have to agree with Katie_girl on the X-Men Forever thing. I think it is much superior than X-Men Legacy but then, everyone has their own opinions so that's OK. The artwork defintely deserves credit though, can't deny that.
