Isn't Generation Hope just going to be about Hope and her 5-light apostles?

But Rogue is Hope's babysitter...lol. She will be in both titles. Carey actually commented on this issue as some found the two titles redundant
In regards to "X-Men: Legacy," do you feel that the recently-announced X-title "Generation Hope" will conflict with yours? Since that title will have the "new" mutants/Five Lights, what is the difference between the mission statements between that book and your own? Just for the record, I'm sticking with "X-Men: Legacy," but I'm scared your title will suffer with a new book that has a similar concept.

You're right that there's some overlap - with Rogue, for example, featuring in both. But I've read Kieron's (amazing) scripts, and I think the two books will have a very different vibe and mission statement. My feeling is that there'll be room for both. But thanks for the vote of confidence!

It'll be Rogue and the new X-kids but she will most likely take more of a backseat as opposed to the lead role she has in Legacy

I like the X-Kids, actually. I was just saying what's the truth. Most people who read, read for the characters that have been longer for them.

Kyle and Yost killed most of my favorites though.
Same here. I still miss Jay. :(

Different writers, slightly different stories. Used to be all different teams, but that hasn't been true lately which I don't like. It bugs me to see the same people used over and over when there are so many other guys just collectin' dust, you know?

What's the difference between all the X-Men titles anyway? How many are there?
Uncanny X-Men deals with the overall direction of the X-Men franchise- the major plot threads. X-Men Legacy focuses on Rogue helping guide young mutants. Astonishing X-Men was a third series that dealt with straight-up adventures loosely tied to continuity but was canceled and now became a continuity-free mini series. X-Men (the newest series) is another attempt of just telling adventure stories.

“FABLES OF THE RECONSTRUCTION” CONCLUSION!
When the X-Men used an engineered virus to defeat Bastion’s army of mutant-exterminating Sentinels, they didn’t realize it would also compromise one of their own: Karima Shapandar, a.k.a. Omega Sentinel. With her reactivated Sentinel programming taking over, the X-Men find themselves in dire straits…and one X-Man may just cross the line in order to stop her!
32 PGS./Rated A …$2.99

Yay Karima! They better not just bring her back to kill her or something though.

i dont know whos coloring these covers but he/she's really making Yu's art shine! looks much better than his Avengers/Secret Invasion work. and cool to see Carey use the events from SC to spring board a story.

I actually prefer his NA/SI work. I thought that was the best in his career.

Its about time Karima show up. Too bad that it happens months after Second Coming, as she really would have been relevant for that arc

“COLLISION” Part 3

The city of Mumbai is coming apart at the seams, torn asunder by freak energy storms…and Rogue and Magneto have finally discovered their source: The Children of the Vault have returned. And the X-Men may not be enough to stop them. But might their “new mutant” tip the scales in their favor?

The next arc in "X-Men: Legacy" will be called "Fables of the Reconstruction" which focuses on the rebuilding of San Francisco led by Cyclops in the wake of "Second Coming" which may not go as well as expected. The story will feature a number of mutants including Rogue Magneto, Hellion, Hope, Omega Sentinel and more.

I like that cast. Cant wait to see Carey handle Hellion and Hope

X-MEN LEGACY #241

STORY BY Mike Carey
ART BY Clayton Thomas Mann, Jay Leisten
COLORS BY Brian Reber
COVER BY Leinil Francis Yu
PUBLISHER: Marvel Comics
COVER PRICE: $2.99
RELEASE DATE: Wed, October 27th, 2010

It all comes down to this. Rogue. Magneto. Indra. Anole. Loa. Five mutants stand between Mumbai and its utter destruction at the hands of the Children of the Vault. Will five X-Men be enough to save a city? Maybe. But one thing's for sure: Victory won't come without sacrifice.

I love the way Carey writes Magneto.

I was thinking the other day that the X-Men should have their own X-Ferry for travel between the mainland and the island.

Why does Hellion have mechanical hands in the first panel and not in the rest? Did they like... fall off...?

Knowing him, he probably hated them or found something to gripe about with them and took them off or dismantled them with his powers.

I can see that, but he just looks awkward without them. :(

i thought he was maimed in some event. i remember seeing it happen...maybe second coming..near the beginning..coulda been necrosha? i dont have a clue...

and who builds all the mechanical parts for the x-men now that Forge is dead/crazy/evil/lost in time/dimensions ...wonder if he'll run into Bishop again

That guy who used to be with Alpha Flight - Jefferies? He's with the X-brains. :)

^^ It was second coming towards the end when he lost his hands.

I imagine that Madison Jeffries and the rest of the science team handle the prosthetics now.

and maybe the hands are retractable? so like he can either have normal hands or do his own "Phantom Limb" kinda thing with his TK.

Do they say "snickt!" when he pops them in and out? :p

they should if they dont already...all retractable objects on mutant bodies should.
