The favorites are.....interesting. Esposito's great in everything, but I wouldn't buy he, Graham and Krasinski as college classmates. I would also struggle seeing Blunt and Ramos as siblings, and the 5'5" Graham as a former collegiate football standout.

Based on that list I'd probably go with Fassie, Montgomery, Blunt, Krasinski and Cena.
Yeaaahhh, it's kind of all over the place. I'd go with Murphy for Doom, Patel for Reed, Lily James or Samara Weaving for Sue and Cena for Grimm.

Yeah, I’d prefer Esposito as Magneto tbh. Definitely Cillian Murphy for Doom.

And though I do like Cena for Grimm, his role as Peacemaker in both The Suicide Squad and now the HBOMax series would preclude him from consideration in my opinion.

I think just about anyone here could have come up with a better, more credible list than that.

Half the people on that list wouldn’t interest me at all.

Y'all remember that series Fantastic Four Worlds Greatest Heroes on Nick? That's what I'm expecting from Watts pretty much.

I always wanted Cena for Sandman, too.

Yeah, some of those names are real head-scratchers

I can’t wait for the real casting to come either mid-to late 2021 or early 2022 so we can stop hearing bad fancasts. :o
I really hope we don't have to wait that long :(

I just realized the always popular choice of Alice Eve for Sue is still alive though!

At the risk of being a bad fancast, Keann Johnson from Euphoria, Alita: Battle Angel, or Hulu’s upcoming teen drama The Ultimate Playlist of Noise might be good for Johnny Storm too. He’s only 24; same age as our MCU high school Peter Parker.

I liked him in Alita. Really reminds me of a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I wouldn't hate it, but I'm not sure he'd be a great fit for Johnny.

Ha, the JGL comparison isn’t half-bad. I just watched the trailer for his Hulu movie and, you’re right, I can see the similarities.

Would you guys be opposed to Tobey Kebbell coming back to play MCU Doom? I like him as an actor and wouldn’t mind him coming back to play MCU Victor.

Kebbell got a raw deal; I would be opposed to him returning, but just because they need to distance from Fan4stic. I never actually saw that full movie.

That being said, I’d be happy to see him in the MCU. Just not as Doom.

This

I like Kebbell a lot - he just needs a new agent. I would love to see him join the MCU to some extent, but not as Doom.

Krasinskis are a given. They were born to play the leads and the universe seems to be moving them into that direction. Dacre looks like he could be Emily’s younger brother. Great actor.

The Thing AKA Ben Grimm is a tough one to cast. He’s Jewish and that is part of that character’s identity as much, perhaps even more so than Kamala Khan being Muslim, so that needs to be addressed. Ben should be funny at times but should be able to play a serious mentor role to Johnny. In my mind there’s no better choice for Marvel Studios’ Benjamin Grimm than Seth Rogen.

Victor Von Doom needs to be someone who can be the character foil to Krasinski- this is the toughest to cast. You don’t want someone like a Michael Fassbender or Christoph Waltz to completely outclass Krasinski in terms of acting and screen presence. For that reason I am going with Timothy Olyphant, recently seen in the current season of The Mandalorian.

This poster seems tacky but in a good way lol

Edit: been a long time since I dropped by. We still haven’t gotten our own sub forum?

I just realized that if my casting picks become a reality, this won’t be the first time “Reed and Victor” have shared screen time!

Man, I was just watching bits and pieces of Nolan’s Intersellar and I wouldn’t mind if the MCU FF took some inspiration from that movie. I was mesmerized by visuals & ambition.

Scenes like these are actually what I want out of a FF movie.

Sure, Intersellar can be rather corny but it has the same sense of cosmic adventurism and ambition that I want in the FF. Does anyone here agree or disagree?

Timothy Olyphant as Doom... that might be good. Never thought of that one.

I think Kamala Khan's religious background plays a bigger part in her characterization. She's very much a child of immigrants. Not that Ben's Jewishness shouldn't be acknowledged, but it never felt like such a major character trait to me. And I wouldn't limit casting choices based on it. Seth Rogen is a fine pick. But so is for example Domenick Lombardozzi who is a funny, talented New Yorker who sounds and acts a lot like Ben Grimm does in my head.

I think Alice Eve would be good, but I personally like Rosamund Pike just a little bit better.
I like Pike more as an actor but I feel Eve is better suited for this kind of movies and this particular character.

Rosamund Pike is the very definition of icy blonde. She would be too cold for the role of Sue. Plus she's already in her 40s, and that should be the age of Reed.

Dr. Doom is Roma aka Romani. That's why I'm hesitant to fancast Doom because even though he's white-passing in the comics, it's a hugely important part of what makes him who he is (his family facing discrimination for being Romani)

I hope Marvel doesn't overlook this, and make Doom generically eastern European. Esp with their commitment to diversity and representation.

If they can find a Pakistani Muslim actress for Kamala Khan, then they can absolutely find a Romani actor for Doom. It'll probably have to be an unknown, but that may be a benefit
