Old MCU Fantastic Four Discussion Thread

The problem is we, as fans, could draw up a list of 1000 things we want to see, and we're only going to get a tiny fraction of those things. Over the next ten years, if we're lucky, we might get two or three FF films and a couple of crossovers, so we're not likely to get all the things we want (Thing Vs. Hulk, Johnny and Spidey, Reed and Tony Stark, FF and Black Panther, FF and Inhumans etc. etc. etc.).

That's the reason I've always told my friends I don't have a "bucket list". There are a lot of things I'd like to see and do, but I'd rather appreciate the things I get to do rather than feel disappointed for the things I didn't get to do, and that's the attitude I have with special moments with the FF that I'm looking forward to.

I think those 3 bolded have a fair chance (if Stark survives Avengers 4). But yeah I'm sure what we'll get will be good whether or not it fills any wants lists or not.

I could see reed referring to tony like “we got a sizeable grant from the stark foundation” or something. Thing versus hulk would be fun but hard to think how it could fit the story. Everyone have a think about that.

Peter and Johnny would be so much fun, they have to do that. Just having peter drop round to have a coffee and play pranks on thing or ask reed about the symbiote or whatever would be fun.

I genuinely think when this movie happens it’s going to be the shipping movie of the millennium, Johnny and peter, reed and doctor doom and even reed and Ben probably

Well I certainly don't expect to see Reed slapping or beating Sue like he did. Of course, all comic fans forget about that and only remember that for Hank Pym.

But you never know. We did see Peter Parker doing it in Spider-Man 3.

I do want to have at least one scene with him being kind of a dismissive d*** to her, but it will have to be updated to 2020ish dismissive d***.

And not like FF 2005 in which Sue got pissed at him for being a little socially awkward. I'd like it clear, at least at that moment, that he doesn't think much of her. Then I'd like to see him learn that he's smarter than he thought.

Same! That would be awesome! You know how Tom auditioned with RDJ? I wonder if marvel will audition potential Johnny storms next to Tom?

Well I’m definitely open to casting for the best person possible, not necessarily white people. And I can live with mole man not being the first villain. Oh and I think Alicia masters can do with a whole rewrite, you probably don’t need perfect blind angel Masters. You can make her a bit more out there, like your favourite aunt that gets carried away with the booze at family get togethers and wants to dance with everyone

As long as the MCU gets to keep Holland long term then that would be great. Thing will cry if he misses out on his pranks from those 2. A live teamup punking of Thing can be the audition.

Like how Green Lantern has one even though no film is even in production. And how Cyborg had one. Yeah, that happened.

Green Lantern had one movie. It was a flop. There's nothing else currently in production or in the pipeline. There may be talk, but there's always talk about DC movies that never materialise.

FF already had 4 movies, will very likely appear at least in guest roles in upcoming MCU movies and could easily have their own solo movie in the next few years. There's far more on their front to warrant an FF forum than a Green Lantern forum.

FF has almost certainly been the most talked about topic that hasn't had its own forum over the past 3 years, but I can wait until we have an announcement of an actual film. This thread is fairly active, but it's not so active that it needs to be broken up into sub-topics... yet.

If they go with the 60s setting (which I hope they don't) then Alex Ross' designs are the way to go.
I think they can even work in a modern setting, it gives the team a really distinct look. Giving an FF film some 60s aesthetic but in the modern era would make the film really unique compared to other superhero films.

Look at how much of a leading man and adventurer Reed looks in those pics. Not remotely a nerd at all. That's how I want him to look.

Alex Ross does some great stuff. I wouldn't mind if they used his designs in some form even in a modern interpretation.

Those Alex Ross suits are pretty cool. Swap out the classic 4 in the middle, and I'd be down for that being their MCU suit.

Oh well I’m not in charge of that. I guess because there’s pretty much been hints that green lantern would continue in some form maybe they thought there’s no point getting rid of the forums. I would love to see the ff forum back though. Oh well one day

I would definitely like to see a space theme. I think a hard-suit might be too bulky and impractical for everyday use, but maybe like the suits you posted with the hard-parts removed.
