That guy in the photo is not rumored to be Omega Red. Vince Murdocco is supposedly playing him. Go to vincemurdocco.com for his info. Imdb.com also has him listed as Omega Red and with several e-mail responses to fans, such as myself, he mentions he has been cast but cannot say any more. So here is hoping Omega Red will make a cameo in X3.

Actor Vince Murdocco was cast as "Omega Red" for a fight cameo against Wolverine. Are there any promo stills for him yet?

We already have a thread on him, and there's no proof anymore that he is Omega Red. From the beginning, it was actually revealed that he was cast to play an "Omega Mutant", and the fansite who reported it jumped to conclusions and said he was Omega Red. Murdocco later said that his part was cut from the film and he was just on the stunt team, so he no longer has a role in the film.

Q: I always thought that Wolverine has the best archvillain in X-Men. However in the previous movies, we only saw Sabretooth. My personal favorite is Omega Red. Did you ever thought about putting him in X3?

Yeah...it sounds like it could be one of those maybe he'll make the final cut things? Basically they did a small Omega Red cameo and that he might make it into the cut or not, they aren't sure yet. Think that's a possibility?

Or maybe Omega Red is there as a cameo somewhere...who knows?
