One of the things I enjoyed the most out of the movie is seeing the main character Xmen fully unleash their powers, instead of a lil here or there. Storm had some fun in X2 but nothing overall sustained in a personal fight sequence. This is kinda what I mean.
Bobby Drake finally "becomes" Iceman, in the final fight w/ Pyro (bought time he can make fire) Bobby turns into the man of ice we are all used to.
Wolverine goes even more ballistic, I liked the forest fight a lot with that, had a nice predator vs. prey feel.
Storm. She kicks ass. Then she kicks some more. She takes the one chick and fries here ass so much her piercing is glowing red. She hits people with bolts. She flies....A lot.
Shadowcat was awesome, glad they introduced a new character like that (yeah i know she was in x2 but barely) cuz she went toe to toe with Juggernaut and came out awesome with it.
And despite how you think the visual effects exactly should have been like, the design for Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix was awesome, showing sheer power, not simply killing them but killing them on a molecular level, I just feel they did a cool job of showing both how powerful she could be and how violent and chaotic she was.
