Character you would like to play: Elijah Bradley (Patriot)
Powers: Peak levels of strength, agility, stamina, speed, reflexes and durability due to the Super Soldier serum.
Brief biography of the character's history: Grandson of Isaiah Bradley, the only surviving Super Soldier test subject, Elijah received an urgent blood transfusion from his grandfather after he was seriously injured during a gang fight. The blood transfusion gave Elijah the usual set of powers for a supersoldier, and donned a costume based on his grandfather's.
List a few reasons why you have chosen that character:
I want to join the Titans.
I've recently read the first Young Avenger.
I'm shallow.
What can you bring to this game?: An angry black man.
Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Arial Narrow Bold Blue
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as I feel like.
Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):
Patrol is hard to carry out in a built up area when you can't fly, or jump off buildings without breaking your legs. I've got the stolen shield strapped across my back and what I hope is a hard look in my eye as I walk down the street. There was a screech of tires as a car swerved around the corner.
I recognised one of the passengers as a minor gang member, and the other three were weilding guns and hanging out the window making whooping sounds. I rolled my eyes as I prepared to tackle the Grand Theft Auto fanboys and pulled my shield around. Not a moment too soon as it turned out; the second the gang saw me they opened up with their pistols. The bullets thudded into the shield as I put it in place.
"Fantastic," I muttered as I crouched down ready to jump. Predictably they tried to run me over, so I leapt up onto the bonnet, gripping the left wing mirror with one hand for support.
"What the hell are you doing you crazy *******?" one of them shouted at me, trying to angle the gun at me from the passenger window.
"Y'know, intervening, what have you," I shouted over the wind. I brought my shield down on the windscreen, making a large crack in it. I did it again, and a third time and finally the windscreen smashed, sending glass over the inside of the car. The driver swerved, the car spinning around and into the nearest shop window. Of course, I was thrown flying off the car and into the shop interior.
One of the gang members was knocked unconscious by the crash, but it didn't exactly look fatal. The shop was dark, it was obviously locked up for the night. One of the gang stumbled out, pistol leveled at me, I pulled a couple of throwing stars from my side pocket, flicking them into the legs of the gunman. I slammed my shield into the head of next guy, knocking him to the floor. The last gang member took one look at me, then sprinted off into the night. And that's when I noticed what looked like the entire mass media gathering outside the shop.
"Lieutenant America!" one shouted.
"-damage to local businesses"
"-reckless heroics-"
"-brave crackdown on rogue youths-"
And that was my cue to beat a hasty retreat.
