i gotta say.... after seeing XMFC... it almost makes certain scenes in X3 better... and far more emotional. (mystique's depowering and magneto leaving her) and (xavier's death)

My sequel....
Setup: There's an uneasiness in the air and things are tense. It's the 70's, rebellion is everywhere culturally, sexually and philosophically. After the Cuban Missle fiasco, governments around the world are now secretly rounding up mutants and putting them in fortfied facilities. The US government has formed a covert organization tasked with rounding up "hostiles" code for mutants, this group will come to be known as Weapon X.

Magneto and the "Brotherhood" are busting mutants out of these facilities (cameos galore). Mags gets a new member in one of the raids, Unus the Untouchable. He also gets a hold of a list of possible mutants to be rounded up. On the top of that list is a young man by the name of Scott Summers.

Xavier is also recruiting young mutants and has a handful of students at the school now. He recruits a young teen to train as an X-man...a shy and uncertain Chinese immigrant, Suzanne Chan. Xavier detects Scott and takes a couple of the X-kids to go and recruit him for the Institute.

Unbeknownst to everyone is there is a third party that is searching for the young Scott Summers. Dr. Nathaniel Essex and his group home for "gifted" youngsters has come looking to "recruit" scott as well.

Xavier and X-men come into conflict with the Brotherhood with Scott stuck in the middle. They fail to realize how sinister Dr. Essex really is and what his true motivations are...

..And behind all this, the government has just finished an early prototype machine that will protect the human populace from mutants....they call it a Sentinel.

Things that happen in this sequel:

-First big fight between the Brotherhood and X-men happens when they both arrive for Scott

-Alex finds out Scott is his long lost brother (their memories were wiped of each other mysteriously)

-New characters introduced: Lorna Dane is one of the new students at the Institute

-Dr. Essex appears as a normal looking man but has the ability of molecular manipulation and durability; throughout the film he experiements on himself using captured mutants DNA in his group home; by the end of the movie for the big fight, he looks like he does in the comics

-the collecters are Dr. Essex's associates (henchmen) (aka early Marauders): Malice (can change into a psionic form and possess a target), Scrambler, Hairbag and Scalphunter; we see them raid an installation like the Brotherhood as well but they kill the "worthless" mutants; they have a small skirmish with the X-men when they kidnap Scott from the Institute and then with the Brotherhood and X-men at the end of the movie

-The Brotherhood and The X-men teamup relunctantly to stop Sinister and his experiments

-We see the building process and multiple blueprints for the Sentinels

-Substories: Alex and Lorna begin a relationship; Mystique and Azazel are lovers (much to Erik's jealousy); Moira is now apart of the new mutant research division in the CIA in Scotland; the government comes to visit the new Institute for Gifted Children; Magneto has a locket with a picture of two unknown children he keeps secret; Xavier tries to bond with Erik again and questions him about having a child (Xavier wonders if Lorna is related to Erik); Azazel and Angel die fighting the Marauders; Riptide defects to the Marauders; Dr. Essex is also searching for another mutant(Jean)

Wow, this was thought out. Ozymandias? Okay, I doubt they will do time travel, but I like where you're going on some occasions.

For some reason I don't ever see this happening, but I really want to see Wanda and Pietro someday.

Maybe they could still be brother and sister just not magneto's kids.

And I'd be cool to see another version of Juggernaut since I'm assuming the next movie will still like to focuss on Xavier and Magneto's origins. Charles mentioned that he had a step father in this movie so, why not.

Sabretooth was already done twice too so it won't be any more of a significant break in continuity than was already done.

I would love to see Wanda and Pietro replace Angel and Riptide. I don't even think there is any more interesting combat scenarios that can come from those two characters. I think it's possible Erik had relations with Magda between his childhood and adulthood scenes. I would even settle for Magneto just acting like a father figure to them.

I agree. Unless they start adding lots of backstory (which no one cares about for Angel and Riptide), I'd rather Wanda and Pietro too.

If they did bring in Storm, the only thing is that Riptide might provide a worthy opponent for an elemental showdown, but i think we've seen enough tornadoes in this and in X2, to be honest!

Well i'd suggest XMFC2 should take place in 1968. It was certainly one of the most turbulent years in the history of the US with The RFK, MLK murders, the civil rights movement, the draft, Vietnam war protests, riots , Government wiretaps, and Nixon's election . The discovery and beginning discrimination of mutants would fit in perfectly with that time. I don't know who the mutant villan could be but 68 would be the best place to pick up the story imo.

I think it could work if they introduce a time travel angle. Cable comes from the future to warn the X-Men of the Sentinels, causing more rifts among the mutants.
