I’d argue 08 hulk is. The most savage and most brutal

It does seem the '08 Hulk was the most savage.
Minus the Hulk/Thor brawl in Avengers '12 , the Hulk's ferocity seemed to be depicted at its peak in Hulk '08

Yeah norton's hulk was pretty much peak 1990s hulk. He felt like he was drawn by jim lee.

This look, at least this scene, does look a bit more savage

I'll never get over how awful the CGI is in The Incredible Hulk.

Still, there's a piece of concept art of the Hulk from that movie that is pretty much a perfect design. Pity the CG model failed to do it justice.

I don’t like Ruffalo in the role. I prefer a less comedic take. Of the 4 men to play Banner, Ruffalo is easily the worst. Nowhere near what I imagine Banner being like. Professor Hulk is an abomination.

I mean, the character in the comics did a lot with bringing the issues of depression, suicide, mental health and child abuse into the mainstream.

That is not reflected in the MCU version at all, and it’s kind of demeaning how they reduced him into a comedic figure.

She-Hulk has me excited. The premise is supposed to take place before IW and EG. When Banner was a bit more monster like. Or at least that's what I heard on Reddit.

If so they could use it as a segway for more comic accurate Hulk stories. And maybe if Disney wants to throw some real cash at it. A good Hulk fight, it's been so long since I've seen one.

Side note: this would be a great design if Disney ever lets immortal Hulk get developed in some way shape or form. Even if animated.

when he walks towards abomination it’s epic. The 08 hulk is very lethal and savage. Much better than mcu hulk where he’s just a big dumb green ape used for laughs . 08 hulk is something to be feared

That look is a bit more diesel looking for the Hulk.
    I like the shading.
It doesn't portray his skin as like Mountain Dew green.
    More edgy.

    I agree 100%.
Hulk is a complex character to use though.
I still don't know if Universal's ownership right have anything to do with it but...
MCU doesn't seem to know , or has too many ideas on how to use the Hulk

I don't mind more fun Hulk, but it's not my preferred version of the character. I think he was best in the first two Avengers films. He works better or is more interesting as an unpredictable monster with a tragic streak. At best, he's a reluctant teammate of the Avengers. Hulk to me is more like a nuclear weapon. Depending on how he's aimed, he can be a benefit or an absolute danger, yet still destructive. When he comes around, it's more of a reconciliation between Banner and Hulk.

I think the Al Ewing Hulk gets this best, at least recently. I want them to tap more into the Hulk's roots and make him that Hyde/Frankenstein monster figure. He was inspired by these characters to begin with. Go full on psychological horror with it. I'm down for a Hulk TV show, I just don't think they would ever do Ewing's Hulk or a similar Hulk for Disney +. Better make it a Hulu show.

Yeah, I’m really excited for She-Hulk. I also want to see Hulk face off against a super strong villain. We haven’t seen much of that recently.

They could do a Hulk show but I fear they'd pull a GoT where he only Hulks up like once every couple of episodes or something. They obviously have the budget to do more but you know. In the comics the Professor wasn't a permanent persona.

It seems, at least right now, that the MCU may be using the Hulk solely in its Disney+ series for now.
I have no knowledge of that but from what I can read , I think the Avnegers may be on th shelf for awhile.
So not sure how the Hulk can work his way in anywhere in the cureent Phase.

Wasn't Guillermo Del Toro producing a Hulk show at one point?

I've enjoyed the MCU Banner and Hulk for what they are, but as far as I'm concerned it's been a downward spiral with those two characters since The Avengers. By Endgame they were both essentially delegated to comic relief. I never really got what I wanted out of them.

The Hulk's a great, complex character, and it's a shame that we're likely years away from any sort of reboot.

Side note, the covers for some of these issues of Immortal Hulk are gorgeous. Who's the artist? I am loving this Frankenstein's Monster look for the Hulk, with the giant brow and bowl cut.

Alex Ross does the covers, Joe Bennett does the interior art for Immortal Hulk.

And I’ll echo the comments that the cinematic Hulk should be taking notes from the recent comics. It’s a modern masterpiece and one of Marvel’s top selling titles.

I personally do not like the direction they’ve taken Hulk. He got turned into a joke with each passing movie. Also not really a fan of Mark Ruffalo. Really wish Ed Norton would have stuck around. I find The Incredible Hulk vastly underrated

I think the only downfall for MCUs Hulk is not using any of his supporting cast in any of the films.

General Ross has shown up in a few movies. Abomination is going to be in She Hulk.
