The bus yeah possibly he could lift, need myth busters to sort that out.Remains to be seen. A bus is a very different proposition from holding a plane by a wing tip. The bus could have a strong subframe added for him to carry it like that.
I agree on principle. However, when I watched MOS for the first time one of the things I liked about it was when Superman's first flight is shown, when he's out in the ice and snow. A second or two before he launches, we see small pebbles and dust surrounding his fist slowly rise from the ground and start circling. This suggests that some sort of field is generated in and around his body when he flies which can potentially affect other objects too, and is not just strictly limited to only his body. Is it some type of anti-gravity which he subconsciously controls? Maybe. But I liked the idea that when he's trying to hold or move something much, much larger and heavier than himself, that field can extend to it and lessen the effect of gravity on obvious stress points. It's not just a mythical aura then, but a beneficial side effect from the same power that allows him to defy gravity.
The rocks lifting around Superman as he was taking off I think is cool as a visual and works in a world that is trying to make a more grounded Superman film post Nolan Batman (does it make sense..not really but it gives us ideas as to how his flight might work, but I don't really care for an explanation for that)
Yes the movie is trash but I just don't want to see anything like Justice League where he is carrying an entire building, it looks so dumb. On the other hand we have a great scene in another bad film Superman Returns when he is saving the plane. He has to think a lot more and the way he lands it at least felt more realistic.
I just think it's more fun when he has to use his smarts to think about how to fix a predicament and sometimes the aura seems to be a get out of jail free card.
