Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

Thinking about it now, I have to admit it bothers me a little. Regarding the CK hairstyle, I know what Gunn is trying to do-something different-and I respect that, but with this hair look...I'm a little bothered by the fact that Clark takes the time to comb or brush his hair (with his fingers) while changing into Superman.

Though you can say that Dean Cain's Clark did the same thing...or at least in season 3 when he got that new hairstyle as Superman. Slick hair? Whatever you call it. Seems like it would take less time. And Cavill...in BvS-and I really wish Cavill's Clark Kent and Superman hairstyle were swapped-but again, it seemed Clark took the time to spread his hair back as tightly while changing into Supes. Same as Cain though.

But on Corenswet's CK hair--this new hairstyle is taking it to the next level. Of course Clark can superspeed, so it doesn't really matter, but still, he actually bothers taking the time to fix his hair before transitioning...ehh. Realistically, when emergencies arise, I don't think Superman should care about appearances. Obviously we don't want him to look like that (Clark's hair) as Superman.

Personally I prefer Clark Kent to have his hair neatly combed when he's working at the Daily Planet, and when he's Superman (and he shouldn't bother changing his hair) the spit-curl just comes down naturally, and his hair is just slightly wavier. (Jose Luis Garcia Lopez's artwork of Superman is my example) This makes more sense to me when he's flying and ready for action and probably fighting.

But Routh...obviously he had to pull his hair back a little. Reeve somehow would comb his hair the opposite side of Clark, and is curl...I don't know.

While I feel like this is a really silly complaint, have you considered the possibility that the Clark hair is artificially styled forward and that as soon as Superman hits superspeed the force of the wind, etc. could basically blow its back into a more natural swept back style?

You can say that about literally any Superman. They ALL have their hair styled differently as Supes than as Clark. It’s just one of those suspension of disbelief things inherent to the character at this point.

If you watch Hollywood, you can see that Supermans hair is very similar to David's character and in the show it comes across as natural looking... Because everyone in movies has great hair even waking up in the morning or getting out of a pool. Superman having nice hair isn't much of a reach, he can just run his hand back through his hair and bam handsome Supes

Superman "taking his time" to style his hair is irrelevant since he can probably do it in a tenth of a second.

I already pointed that out. You can't deny the absurdity of it though...for this version.

In essence, you see it as an extra step that impedes Superman from "saving the day" as quickly as possible, no matter how fast he is. But it's actually being presented here as a necessary component of the disguise. By your reasoning, it makes no sense for Clark to change out of his DP clothes and into the Superman costume—that all requires time, mind you. In any case, Superman believes that having a secret identity is essential. Anything that makes that more plausible is a plus rather than a drawback.

Needs to take his glasses off too. All these extra tasks are going to waste 0.000000000001 of a second and could get in the way of him making it to an event in time. :o He doesn't care about this appearance lol, it's just the ridiculously minuscule disguise that the comics came up with and that's stuck over all these years. :funny:

“From saving the Earth and gearing up for Darkseid to… saving squirrels?! Gunn is treating this like a joke. First trunks, now he’s saving living creatures?! It’s like he wants us to hate the film. This will set DC back 30 years!!”
