New trailer will probably release with Iron Man 3. WB's July release last year was TDKR and it's second theatrical trailer was with early May's Avengers. Seems like a safe bet.

Ah know! We're currently going to bebeing inundated with character posters and much more which will make the trailer wait far shorter.

At least you're not like MAN OF STEEL who has been getting nothing so far.

Really looking forward to seeing the presentation at WonderCon. Hope I will get in.

if you do will you be able to post your basic consensus of the footage with only some minor spoilers thrown in?

i am not reading spoilers.

but for the ones who do. why not ask arman200 to writte the whole movie in one short post. or will you everyday ask 5 questions? hahaha :)

haha I wasn't expecting this much. I had to start putting blackout tags inside the spoilers because I felt like I was giving so much away.

Del Toro said all of the Jaeger pilots are family members. The exception being Hunnam and Kikuchi. Do you remember if the Chinese Jaeger pilots are family members? Is it even mentioned?

They better release the Wondercon trailer online, sick of f**** exclusives.

Yeah, how dare studios not release exclusive trailers that people pay money to see for one time only at conventions. Gawd, how inconsiderate!

So all the fans in the world who dont have the chance to go to this should be alienated? As far as I know, you dont pay JUST to see the trailer? Pointless observation, really.

I just hope the new trailer will sway some of the people who were underwhelmed by the first.

I think that if you dont get the appeal of the first one, you wont with the second. This is just something that I'm totally on board with, but others wont be.

Second will probably up the ante though, first trailer is a little tease. No doubt this will blown minds visually, I remember this scene from the script (dont have it right now for those who might ask) where there's a fight scene, where you're inside the cockpit and have basically an IMAX-like 360° view of the battlefield, like a FPS.

Hopefully the new trailer will make its way online quickly...

BTW by swayig people I meant the ones who are actually looking forward to the movie and just did not like the first trailer.

I know a ton of people who are down for the premise and are fans of GDT but were in general put off by the really generic presentation of the trailer.

After reading some of the reviews, it seems like the fights are fought mostly at night. That's disappointing. I wanted variety but I figure that it's just cheaper and easier to CG the fights at night.

Well, in a lot of movies, action scenes are at night, especially in TASM, it just looks visually more spectacular IMO.

Spectacularly cheap. It's such an obvious technique to save money.

Well done heavy CGI day time action scenes are far more of an accomplishment and visually pleasing for me personally.

The problem is when it's almost exclusively done at night. With Spider-Man, 80% of his action scenes were in the dark or at night, while he had only one fight scene at the school during the day. And that was still in-doors.

Well for me what is most visually pleasing out of day or night when it comes to action all depends on what kind of film it is, what the scene/situation calls for and how well it's done. But I agree, I had hoped for plenty of daylight huge action in this one, the premise and idea of the film screams for that. Infact part of why the first trailer didn't wow me was because of the dark action scenes.

Of course it needs to be done in the context of the story or charaters (Batman equals night/shadows) but in this case, I think variety is in order. IF that is the case with Pac Rim. I don't want to jump the gun either.
