Jaeger plasma caster at 24 seconds! Looks to be Gipsy Dangers. For a second I wasn't sure, the scene goes by ULTRA quickly. Gipsy Danger's reactor is obscured to the very last milisecond, blink and you miss it.

Devin has been openly excited for this film for a while, and while I think he goes a little wild in his full criticisms and purposeful fan-baiting, it is a good sign that he is not expressing disappointment here.

It takes the collateral damage very seriously.

Not doing so was one of Devin's biggest problems with Man of Steel.

Well he seems to be the kind of guy who doesn't mind speaking his mind even if he was hyped.

I like hearing that collateral damage will be addressed. I don't like a movie with wide-spread destruction that never gets mentioned, or doesn't carry the seriousness it should. MoS was definitely guilty of that.

To be fair, it's not like Snyder's dumb enough to gloss over it for MoS 2, especially when Lex Luthoer is most likely going to be in the sequel gunning for Superman.

I really don't think he's going to pull a Transformers 2. That was ridiculously stupid. Despite the fact that we all fought in several major cities, no one knew they exist, and no one explained why they didn't in addition to all the destruction.

He was pretty stoked for Man of Steel as well and has had some pretty harsh words for it in the past few days. In the bit he's said on the film, he is praising Pacific Riim in some of the exact same areas in which he criticized MOS.

A Mexican and Canadian Jaeger, huh? That would be cool to see.

Also, someone in the comments section of that page brought up an interesting idea about having a Jaeger-on-Jaeger battle. Maybe the newer pair of Jaeger pilots comes into conflict with another set of pilots, and they duke it out.

It would certainly keep things fresh, instead of them just fighting monsters all of the time.
