Pacific Rim - Part 2

[BLACKOUT]The Mega-croc would make sense. After Knifehead is killed maybe it will show up and drag the fight on to the ice. From there it would be able to ambush Gipsy Danger from underneath...Then again, if you look at the head wound, it would seem like Knifehead does Yancy in.

This is really starting to puzzle me. Going by the wondercon trailer Knifehead is a CAT 3, and by the looks of it Gipsy Danger is owning it.

[/BLACKOUT]

Ya know another thing I noticed is that the damage on Gipsy Danger is mimicked on Raleigh's suit. Minus the whole missing arm.

Hmm...Well they are neurally linked to it. I guess an arm getting an arm ripped off [the jaeger] would also damage the suit...And hurt like hell.

Does that mean his arm is dead as in all the nerves are fried or he just experienced a crap ton of pain?

Well if it's the type of connection like in Evangelion...then just a lot of excruciating pain. But...Jagers are just robots. Metal and circutry, while Evangelions are living organic beings. That's why their pilots feel the pain.

It could just be coincidence, Danger's cockpit was hit, so it could just be damage from whatever happened to the head.

Less than nerves and such there also just the matter of the mechanics of it all. The pilots are hooked into a rig that feeds their movement into the jaeger. It possible that when met resistance or attack some of that force makes it back to their suits, hence their armor like nature.

"Kaiju is baby!"

"We break them."

I haven't been a fan of the aesthetic of these posters, but this custom Jaeger app makes it all worth it.

This had to be made. Its as if they knew it would be made so they limited the letter count!

Of course not, it would be enough if it made its budget + marketing costs back. What would that be, around 300 mil? That should definitely be possible~

Studios only get half of the ticket though. With Pacific Rim allegedly carrying a $250 M price tag, with probably at least another $75-100 M for marketing, it will have to see $600-700 M before it makes a penny of profit.

This is an uphill battle for a new non-adaptive property directed by a commercially unspectacular (though incredibly brilliant) director.

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA Knifehead is dead.

Take that *****!

A response to the kaiju skull seen in the graphic novel preview. I'm laughing at his demise.

It is, but that must be a part that like...maybe leads to the beginning?

[BLACKOUT]The majority of the movie will take place five years after the knifehead fight. You see the prequel graphic novel will cover the earliest parts of the war to the events right before the Raleigh comes out of retirement.

That clear things up?[/BLACKOUT]

Yeah, but I don't think that needs to blackened out. Majority of that stuff isn't really a spoiler. Least I don't think so.
