The only thing i can reveal about the story after watching the film is..

how the aliens come to earth is a huge plot twist. and nothing you're expecting.

you will be 100% satisfied.

Movie is exactly 2 hrs by the way

I love "Cancelling the Apocalypse". Beautifully haunting and tragic. And only a guitar and violin. Very effective.

I think from what I've been hearing so far, this might be my favorite movie soundtrack this year. It might even be my favorite Ramin Djawadi soundtrack, from what I've heard of his work. I don't think he's ever sounded this good. It sounds like he incorporated a bit of Marco Beltrami and blended it with his usual sound. Has a bit of a "rock 'n roll meets classic Kaiju movie" feel. I hear some synth in some of the tracks as well. There's also a lot of character and personality in each of these tracks, which is something that has been kind of lacking in a lot of the other film soundtracks this summer.

They're just samples, but they already seem to show a lot of promise.

I dont and want to keep it that way. As the release of the movie draws closer I will stay away from certain cites and message boards. Plot elements for IM3 and MOS were spoiled and I havent before I has seen either film. This is right now my most anticipated film.

I do think the movie looks good however my friend made a somewhat good point I thought when we saw the trailer last night with World War Z...

Why do the mechas have 2 pilots? Surely it would make more sense to have one pilot doing all the movements rather than one pilot for each side.... He then went on to elaborate that it's probably so they can add some unnecessary human drama where one gets knocked out or there is some romance or conflict with the shared memories thing.... I don't even get why they would need to share their memories to operate a giant robot? Kinda doesn't make sense...

But other than that it looks fun...

It's not that one pilot controls one side of the robots actions, it's more like combined brain power. Like a dual core processor. One person controlling it would die or be in agony.

The memory thing? Fiction sciencey stuff! I suppose if you kinda combine into "one human" you would know everything about the other.

I hate it when people dont even try to understand the 2 pilots thing and the mindmelding aspect, and just dismiss it as "stupid" because they dont even have imagination. Del Toro and Beacham thought out every single aspect in this movie, make an effort.

is that a real poster or fan made? Love the whole Jaws motif. "Were gonna need bigger robots indeed!! Would love to see this poster if its from WB/Legendary at my local theater. I remember Bay having this tshirt saying giant FN' robots are coming. With Pacific Rim the REAL GIANT FN' ROBOTS have arrived!!
