Paul Dano is Edward Nashton aka "The Riddler"

Almost looks like he's wearing glasses over the top of his mask. Edit: Oh, he is, from previous pictures. Me dumb-dumb.

Digging the question-mark patch or whatever, it's cool how they're keeping all the iconography here just more subtle/non-silly.

Wonder if that's meant to be an iPad or if it's just an oversized-Lego-block phone? In any case should be interesting to see how it all comes into things, whether he's just leaving encrypted/untraceable phone messages to the cops, or broadcasting something or whatever.

The exposed hair is an interesting detail. In last year's teaser trailer, his head appears to be wrapped up in plastic wrap. Presumably to prevent DNA from being left behind.

I think he will eventually be unmasked and "humiliated" in that sense by the end of the film, and from that point on I would hope he ends up going for a more traditional Riddler outfit (bowler hat, suit etc) but I'm probably not getting that lol. Even though Dano would looking ****ing great in such a get up but.... Whatever.. I guess

That is literally how he described it. He said Riddler is in the middle of his own origin story, Selina is etc etc. And it already isn't out of line to imagine Selina getting an updated look later on.

Well yeah but I don't see this exact person suddenly evolving (or rather devolving) to prancing around in a gaudy tuxedo singing the oompa loompa song but with riddle-themed lyrics.
