Paul Dano is Edward Nashton aka "The Riddler"

How sick would it be if that first victim has a snake in his mouth? I keep imagining the tape getting removed from his face in the morgue and then you start to see his throat move and someone says “either he’s still alive, or I think something is in there”. I can just feel the suspense build as the piece of tape from his mouth slowly comes undone and a huge snake slithers out. Damn, I have chills.
lol what? Why a snake? I see the weird kinks are back..

How is that a kink? I was thinking about Silence of the Lambs when they found the cocoon in that girls mouth.

I’m a little weird, but I’m not that weird dude.

Also, I’m thinking of the term “lying snake”.

Oh goodness. That whole rumour was such a mess hahaha.
Maybe an interesting idea for an Elseworlds story, but definitely not for a film.

I never thought I'd be in a place where I never wanted to hear about the Joker again, but these past couple of years have brought me there.

I feel like going on a Dano marathon myself now.

Funny how Joker has about 250 pages and he’s not even in the movie. Yet, Riddler has the least pages of the confirmed villains and he’s the main villain lol. Seriously though, I really hope to see more fan art and videos for Riddler soon.

Well it's because the Joker's always been a vastly more popular villain, let's not kid ourselves. Especially with his more recent portrayals in cinema.

The Riddler's my second favourite Batman villain, however, and despite the loss of his more overtly comic-book trappings being very regrettable imo, I'm still very optimistic about his portrayal in The Batman. Especially after hearing Dano's voice/cadence in the part.

Though I do hope that proving his genius is retained as the character's primary motivation, and not just a righteous crusade as many are speculating.

Definitely true that Joker is the most popular Batman villain. That’s not even debatable. Riddler has always been my favorite though. Even when he was terribly written and underused, I had hope that someday someone would see all of the untapped potential with his character. There are so many films that display Riddler’s M.O. fantastically as well as actual killers, so there is a lot to take inspiration from.

As for his motivation, I honestly hope that it’s more than just to prove his intellect. I’d love for The Riddler to have more depth, but of course not some “Bruce Wayne gone wrong” type and not to be on a righteous crusade, so I agree with you there.

I would love it if Riddler had this moment at the end.

I'm going to see Seven again too, and also Zodiac... for the third time... this year...
I'll probably then watch the first season of True Detective and Mindhunter again. I have already seen both 2 times, but I need my Fincher and other ritual serial killer thriller fix...

And then I will probably clean up all my streaming activities to avoid any suspicion...

I feel like my sarcasm got lost somewhere along the way.

Either that or you guys are just funnin' me. :funny:
