Paul Dano is not very good at winning fights.

Not me. He’s too good of an actor to be an absolute punching bag in all of his films. Sure he’s going to get beaten by Batman, but at least let him get the upper hand at some point. It’s more suspenseful not only for Dano, but for Riddler as well. Riddler would be the type that would intelligently use Batman’s rage against him.

I don’t think Nashton should be any physical match for Batman, but just hard to actually get to through his maze of mental traps.

If you start making the Riddler too dangerous physically, I think it takes away from what makes him unique. Ras, Bane, Joker, Strange, Freeze etc., are all highly intelligent too. And in Joker's case, he usually engages in a battle of wits full of traps, schemes and diversions to work through similar to Riddler anyway.

But the Riddler should be the only one he might not be able to figure out...

I'm sure he will. This version doesn't seem super rich or gimmicky or anything like that so it's definitely possible that he'll look a little grungy. Like someone on the lower end of the totem pole

I honestly like his hair as it normally is already, although it looks a bit similar to Bruce's hairstyle here.

I feel like this Riddler is going to have a forensics background. It would explain his efficiency in killing, his carefully put-together getup, AND it makes his hatred for corruption that much more personal.

That show sucks because of lame execution. I didn’t watch 90 percent of it but that was my problem early on with it. Also, I only found out recently that they used the Court of Owls and Professor Pyg.

As for Dano’s hair, I saw pics of him in 2020 and it’s shorter than I thought (perfect IMO because I don’t like the longer messy hair for Edward). And he’s not as skinny as he used to be 10 years ago. It’s kinda perfect right now.

I think his Riddler will have a lot in common with Dexter. And I think Poison Ivy could be a great and timely addition for a sequel in that old femme fatal sorta way. I bring her up because I can see similarities between her and Hannah from the last two seasons of Dexter.

The hairstyles that are best for Riddler are military cut (especially if they are taking that much Zodiac inspiration) or the classic slicked hair.

I honestly don't think Dano needs a different hairstyle. His hair as it is fits this serial killer Riddler quite perfectly. His whole look does, really, and I'm not saying that to be mean.

I honestly don't think this Riddler looks like he'll have much of a personal life. I picture him being obsessed with his agenda to the point that his own personal hygiene becomes totally inconsequential to him. I imagine he'll just have greasy, unkempt, straggly hair that falls about his face all the time.

I know you hate them, but that HAS been done in the Arkham games. In AO he's basically just Edward Nygma. In AC, he's fairly classic-looking but a bit disheveled. And in AK he's just grungy and grimey and loses himself in his obsession with besting Batman.

Now, I honestly can't see this Riddler going insane and acting all goofy in the movie but I don't expect his hair to be gelled back and wearing flashy suits.

If anything I'm just expecting a green hoodie or jacket with a question mark on the back; allows him to keep a low profile and not get caught because people would just assume he's one of the protestors. Maybe his own question mark symbol can be bigger than everyone else's or something like that.
