    1. The title, BB sucked. Its silly and lame. Batman Begins. STUPID. It sounds childish. I hate saying it. Should have been The Batman, or Batman: The Beginnning. Now we have TDK, which i lake, but nobody outside this forum knows that its about Batman! lol Bad marketing. Set things off on the wrong foot.

    2. Bales voice. Its all wrong. From the tailer it sounds just as bad as it did in BB. I'm just waiting for the pinched face look and lisp to rear its ugly head again. Its Bale constipated in that suit or something? Has he been smoking 40 a day since the age of 10?

    3. The Batsuit. Now the BB suit was bad enough, but the new one really is bad. Not since B&R have we been treated to such utter crap. Its Robocop meats the power Rangers. Silly and goofy. Orver worked clutter. The symbol just disappears in all that gunk. Thats not batman, that iron man. Tip to Mr Nolan. GET A NEW COSTUME DESIGNER!:o

    4. The music. I'm hoping for great things this time, we we are still with the guys that brought us the totally unforgetable BB theme. COULD be boring again. Dull.

    5. The Joker. Like Scarecrow, Nolan's realism has destroyed the Joker's real look. Nicholson looked more faithful to the comics that Ledger. Now I LIKE ledger's look, i'm down with it, but its not exactly faithful is it? I wanted the Joker from the Animated series. The Joker from HUSH, TLH, TKJ etc...

    6. Alfred. Caine sounds and looks mothing like alfred. He doesn't even try to sound or look like the character. F- for effort there Sir can't be bothered to research my roles Caine.

    7. The batbike. Is it needed? REALY? or is it in this film so WB can sell more toys? Is it there just to fill an action scene that Nolan could have worked around the Tumbler? It looks ok, but i prefer the batman without so many gadgets. bat-to-basics was the approach Nolan took in BB, and TDK follows staight after. I guess one week is enough time to start introducing the toys again. Bat ski and hover bike in the third film then.

    8. Rachel. Now looks completely different! Maybe the Joker hacked her face up, and plastic surgery has made holmes look like Maggie. Or maybe Continuity is blown.:csad:

wow...no, to all those, except maybe the 1st half of #1...the rest is the same pointless non-sence that we've been arguing for over a year now, no need for this thread

i will however say that I much prefered Michael Gough as alfred, but Caine isn't a disaster like you make out

    1. I like Batman Begins. Simple, effective, it works.

    2. Bale's voice was just fine. He sounded threatening, Batman should sound threatening.

    3. Increased mobility is where it's at, wizard! It looks a little cheesy in direct light, but I doubt we'll see it lit like that often. It's not perfect, but it's my favorite of the film batsuits thus far.

    4. Agreed. The music wasn't great, it got the job done, but did it without any style or grace.

    5. I love the look of the joker. The trailer knocked my friggin' socks off. That is all.

    6. Michael Caine is jolly as Alfred, stern when he needs to be, and is English. What more do you want? How do you know what the character sounds like? Comics don't talk. As for look, he's been drawn any number of ways in the past sixty years, I'm sure if you go through every Batman comic ever you'd find at least one Alfred who resembled Michael Caine.

    7. Wait until you see how it figures into the plot to reserve judgement. It may be superfluous, it may be crucial. We'll find out in July.

    8. She looks similar enough to Katie Holmes for it not to be a distraction. It's not ideal, but it doesn't really bother me at all.

No - I like Caine's Alfred - He was level, intelligent and solid. This is the man who essentially raised Bruce. Quite well, I might add. Gough's was too campy and grandfatherly.

As Zimmer said, he knew there was going to be a sequel - So he didn't give Batman his full theme. He said he "hasn't earned a theme yet." Just a foundation. But expect a full fledged theme for TDK - I LOVE that.

Blah. It didn't work well for Batman Begins, it didn't work well for Casino Royale. A themeless score is a bland score. Molossus just wasn't enough to carry the movie. :csad:

Glover probably chopped it up and snorted it when you weren't looking. Can't trust that guy.

I know what you mean - I felt that way with X-Men. I kept waiting for the cartoon theme to kick in. It never happened.

But the good news is that Batman will have musical dignity soonly.

    Oh, waaah.

Nolan is the best thing to happen to the Batman franchise in years and Batman begins is un-arguably the best Batman movie by a long shot.

    Dear WB,

Recently the Batman community got a hold of some of The Dark Knight footage. We have to say we are thoroughly disappointed. Christopher Nolan and his brother have proven that they are not capable of doing a Batman movie. The dialogue was awful and Heath Ledger acts like Heath Ledger. We as a community are gathering together to petition for Crispin Glover to do the part of The Joker. We know that most of the filming is done, but it would be quite simple to CGI Glover in all of the scenes. Please adhere to our demands or we will boycott this film.

So the title wasn't all that great? Did that affect the movie? They could've called it Flowers In My Perfume and I still would have loved the movie. And I think alot of people know who The Dark Knight is. And when they see Batman and Joker in the trailer, it's more than a little obvious.

And you would prefer him to use what voice? That stupid whisper Keaton did? If one is trying to HIDE their identity, it only makes sense that they would change their voice. Making it raspy is a logical choice as it is SCARIER. Plus, who cares what he sounds like really. He doesn't talk all that much to people. And if Batman grappled me up to ala Flass, I don't I'd chuckle at his voice and tell him to quit smoking.

And what about the BB suit didn't you like? It was basically a mondernization of the old Burton suit. I don't suppose you're one of those little fanboys that wants to see a fabric, Dead End-esque suit are you? Please tell me you're not. The new suit is different, yeah. And a little cluttered, I'll give you that. But it's suppose to look like armor. This is grounder more in reality, and even if it wasn't, Batman's just a man. He wears armor. Get over it.

Are you expecting Elfman's score? I thought BB's music fit just fine into the movie. And Zimmer has already talked about how his theme will be better developed in this movie.

The watch BTAS. This movie is it's own story. It's not a retelling. It's a new version of a classic mythology. If you like the look, quit complaining. It's gonna rock. And you're gonna end up watching the movie regardless of what he looks like.

And what does Alfred sound like? Cuz Caine sounds pretty British to me. Just because he doesn't have a mustache he isn't Alfred. :whatever:

Alfred's role in BB was way more developed that Gough's in the old Burton films. He felt much more like a father role in BB, which is exactly what Alfred is the Bruce. He cared more for Bruce and BB, and I cared much more for him than I ever did for Gough. Can't get past the fact that it's Michael Caine playing him? Fine. Alot of people feel that way about Jack Nicholson as the Joker.

More than one week has passed between BB and TDK. And my guess is something happens to the Tumbler and he needs a new vehicle. Either that or he needs a vehicle that can get in tighter places (as shown in the trailer). Batman's strength is his gadgets. Without them, he's a guy in body armor that nows martial arts. That's not a superhero. The Bat-Pod is down to earth and nothing like a Bat ski or hover bike.

You can believe a man can glide with his cape, but you can't accept the fact that they changed actresses? Look man, if you don't like the movies, why do you post here? Why? I sure as hell don't go out of my way to ***** about something that I don't like. So either A) You actually do like the movies, and are complaining to sound cool or B) You just like to start trouble. Either way, are your complaints are not well thought out, and are merely crying for attention. There is some truth in there, and opinions are opinions. But why go out of your way to post them here if you don't like the movies and don't think this one's gonna be any good either?
