Predator 3 setting

Talk of a Predator 3 is in the air for the Strauss brothers and they are suggesting it will be set in a prison, personally i love this idea but where would you guys like to see it set ?

That is one of the coolest ideas I've read to date -but you're right; the mass-appeal might not be that great.

And that's a damn shame.

I like the idea of a medieval setting or some Civil War era that shows how long they've been hunting for trophies.

Prison. I'd love to see cons, serial killers, (etc.) that hate and want to kill each other to team up with themselves and the security guards to stop the Predator.

In a prison? I hope its a futuristic prison or some big ass city like jail.
I would'nt mind a future type setting,back on earth or someother form of life. Setting would be similar to Blade Runner style,dark,gritty,reaks of urban decay,but with advanced technology etc..
Right now I would welcome any new Predator movie,long as its better than the last one.
Im not sure if I would be too keen on the whole midevil stuff or not,just don't seen like a good atmosphere to have another predator movie..Ya,you could make it more of a even playing field by showing Predators technology not as good as we see it now. No cloaking device,no infrared stuff,no shoulder cannon,just their wits,and fighting savvy...

I agree with that notion. However, if done right it would make for an interesting film, as it'd also give the audience and the fans in general to see a Predator in different enviornment than what we're accustomed to.


But my top choices would be:

1. Medieval Setting
2. Civil War
3. Different planet(Perhaps their home planet).

A Medieval Japan scenario could probably work if the Movie always switches between past and present. The Movie could start off with Samurai fighting an invisible Predator, that is known in legends as a head collecting demon. Then the Movie would cut to present time, focusing on the descendant of one of the Samurais and with the return of the demon.

A badass movie would be like a young Predator in training camp on the home world, hunting animals and such, or another Predator. This would be hard to do without a human to talk/identify with etc. for the audience though.

Maybe a ship with humans crashes on the Predator planet in a swamp, and they end up getting caught in a teenage Predator training course or something.

Something with several Predators could be interesting. Instead of having it take place on their homeworld though, I'd like it if maybe 2 young are Predators send to earth, hunting again in a big city, and have to proof themselves by finding the most worthy prey. So you've got several murder scenes all over town and everyone thinks it's only one murderer, when it's in fact several. Occasionally they'd get into each other's way because they set their sights on the same prey.
