Prometheus - Part 10

Like others have said, this movie is magnificent in so many ways that the handful of legitimate concerns people have with the film don't bother me in the slightest. I would kill for a DC of this movie, many of the deleted scenes are great and it would be awesome to incorporate some of the viral material into the film as well.

The good things about the film make up for the bad points, for sure. I haven't seen the deleted scenes yet. What are some good ones?

I guess I need to check out this movie again. I watched it for the first time over the holidays and I wasn't really impressed. I didn't really like all of the unanswered questions, but I guess that's what sequels are for and I'd be there to check a sequel out.

Theron's 5 year plan to get Fass :)

Also, am I the only person who didn't realize Guy Pearce was under all that makeup as old Peter Weyland the first time? I knew he was in it but I didn't realize he played the older version of the character too, I assumed he played the younger version only and his scenes got cut out.

Cant wait to hear more about the sequel, a brief update from Noomi will do for now, but hope we start getting some more substantial stuff soon.

Yeah, bring it on I say. But Ridley will be 77 by the time this thing lenses (If it's by the end of this year). It might either be his last movie, or he might produce it.

Yeah thats why I want Ridley to get a move on! Especially if there is another planned movie after this, didnt Ridley mention a trilogy at some point?

As one who thought Prometheus was a great experience I say bring it on with the sequel!

No, but if you haven't yet seen it, I recommend seeding Alien first. On your own, late at night, with the beverage of your choice. It remains one of the most atmospheric movies ever made, and you don't want it to be retroactively spoiled by one of its successors.

I watched half of alien and just can't make it through. I like Fassbender and Elba so was going to give this a chance. That's why I'm asking do I need to know the Alien mythology. And if I don't like alien is there pretty much a 99 percent chance I don't like this. If so I might just keep passing on it

Just incredibly bored and need something to watch. Maybe Lincoln. Or maybe just a walk

Will do. Probably tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions people.

It was 50/50 for me, the visuals and the acting were suburb. But the way the characters acted in certain situations, and the many plot holes drag it down.

I also felt the character's actions in some situations were off the first time. I assume you refer to the taking off the helmet, touching the snake thing and stuff like that?
