"I will promise you this: When that material is ready and it comes out, you should go see it in 3-D on a screen. It will deliver."
Which means, or reads to me, that the trailer will be attached to a 3D film pretty soonish.

However, the next release which fits the bill is one which a) is the same genre b) is, of course, in 3D and c) is distributed by 20th Century Fox - and it is The Darkest Hour on December 25th.

i meant any new links to the leaked trailer.

I don't get why Tommy boy is wetting his undergarments over the leak.

It was incredibly well received despite the quality being bad because anyone with half a brain could tell Scott has whipped up something incredible regardless of the video quality.

A regular released trailer would be lucky to even receive a fraction of the goodwill the Prometheus leaked trailer got.

Rothman worries about the wrong things. Typical.

Okay, let me try another tack:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Nostromo encounter considered First Contact? My memory is admittedly vague after several decades, but IIRC, in the first movie, there *were* no other aliens, of any sort, anywhere, known to man. Facehugger and Space Jockey were supposed to be the first that mankind had seen.

And if that's the case, having the crew of the Prometheus encounter them years before the Nostromo rapes the continuity of the film universe.

The company sent the Nostromo to LV-426 on purpose. They knew something was there.

There needs to be an FAQ on this film.

Is Giger involved with this in anyway?

Scott originally planned to have Giger involved in some way, but I don't think it ever came to happen.

They were on their way back from picking up a shipment in a completely different system and were woken up by the beacon. Its not like they went there directly from the beginning.

Then again there was all that oddity with Ash so maybe you're right.

Is that an early concept drawing for the Alien design from the 70s?

or more simply they were both designed by giger

Lol obviously in universe in the film that wont be the reason although it would be funny. Rapaces character is pondering their similarities and Giger pops up in the corner looks at the audience and says I designed them that's why.

In the film however there will be probably be a reason for the similarities whether outright stated or not. Considering the jockeys created them and they look like the jokeys it seems pretty obvious the jokeys used their own DNA as a starting point for the xenomorphs DNA.

What's with the very human looking giant face statue?

Is that thing they´re looking at in the middle is what I think it is? :awesome: :awesome:

It would be a way to get some extra screams from the audience. He's a scary little man.
