i understand the complaining about aliens from Neville Page. (clowerfield,ST,super8,...)

but this looks very much the spacey jockey. we could say that the spacey jockey was the first .

i think the alien design needs to fit with the alien franchise.

Nice interview. Doesn't tell us much, but that's preferable. Nice to hear about the limited us of greenscreen. Massive sets galore!

Tells us a fairly good bit. That she's an archeologist and a holy roller, who apparently has her faith shaken up quite a bit (who wouldn't, by a true alien encounter; especially if that alien wants to eat you....or worse) and winds up turning into a fighter and a survivor.

That interview actually told us quite a bit.

Her belief in God I think will be one of the bigger parts of her character arc. I was actually hoping Scott would touch on that with making one of his characters beliefs so intense that no matter what she sees on this planet it doesn't make her psyche weaker but turns her faith into a weapon by causing her to sink more into it as events grow much harsher as it acts as a self defense mechanism if you will.

It's possible that the other characters who may seem stronger physically in the beginning end up being wasted early on because they start losing themselves in the madness of whatever they encounter on that planet without anything to hold onto like Noomis character.

Also I think what will shake up the characters psychologically the most won't exactly be the beings trying to eat them (although I'm sure that'll be part of it) but rather the secrets they uncover in relation to that human like head.

I like the sound of that. Clinging onto beliefs that counter the reality they are in as a safeguard or strength of survival. If Ridley goes that route, I'll be a happy camper.

Definitely man. The more I hear about this move the more it becomes one of my most anticipated movies for next year.

I can just see people going into madness. Their own gods are trying to kill them or the primordial ooze that gave them life is now destroying them.

Yea, that conflict in her character sounds pretty compelling.

I hope there aren't a bunch of cheap shocks in the film, but genuine suspense.. also there needs to be a clear human villain.. not just the monsters..

That image of the giant stone head is the best promotional image released for any movie this year in my view, it just instills a feeling of dread every time I look at it.

It really does give one this odd feeling of helplessness. So peculiar seeing something so familiar in a complete alien world. It's very eerie and unsettling.

i think the twist will be that the aliens created the human race. thats why they wrotte a female character who belives in god. for some good character development.
