Prometheus - Part 3

I'm not losing any sleep over Alien pyramids in the antarctic or aliens running around 2004 small town America being dropped from continuity either :cwink:

Yeah, the first AVP was too stupid. While the second one reduced the Aliens and Predator into slasher film monsters in..Colorado. Really? You're going into Jason/Freddy terrority?

It was also so..mean-spirited. Not in a "OMG that was so morally bad but still entertaining" way but "OMG that's just awful that I'm now questioning my humanity watching this flick"

The worst crime AVP2 committed was being so disgustingly dark all the time. The lighting or rather lack thereof made it an even more frustrating viewing experience.

Skyline cemented them into 'Hackdom' because clearly the Brothers Stauss have some form of talent, but are clueless how to use it with storytelling.

Just watched the speech clip, awesome stuff. Pearce was great

Agreed. I remember how people were saying that they need to adjust their TV settings to make the scenes match the theatre...now with natural dark HDTV's, the movie is actually darker.

They never fixed that...if it was fixed, I'm sure the movie would have done just a little better.

Yeah the DP for that movie must have fell asleep.

Guy Pierce invented the Time Machine too. One of his least recognized achievements.

I love that movie. That's one movie that doesn't get enough credit along with his great performance.

The scene with the moon breaking apart was incredible when I watched it in the theater.

That scene with the moon game me nightmares.

That was a fantastic performance. Really powerful. Based on that clip alone, I would only rate Sigourney Weaver higher in the entire Alien franchise.

But if that takes place in 2023, how will Guy Pearce show up in 2085 when the film takes place? Hypersleep?

A synthetic version of himself, with implanted memories/personality, is my guess.

Good viral stuff but they dont need to convince me,i was interested in this film since its early stages.

Has it ever even been said that Guy Pierce's character is even in the "present" of this film at all?

Just saw that Prometheus clip of Guy Pearce, he was brilliant...

With Prometheus and MS One it looks to be a good year for sci-fi and Guy Pearce.

Guy Pierce was awesome in this clip.

The stadium sized auditorium is kinda exaggerated though !

Well I guess he is like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs rolled into one person in this universe.

Awesome clip. Pearce really never goes wrong in terms of performance.

So I take it this is before Yutani and the merge?

Guy pearce did a great job delivering that speech.
