From the reactions I'm reading, this movie is reminding me very much of Burton's first Batman movie in some strange way.
It seems to be an immersive, visual experience that lacks a script that really hammers home any singularly tremendous theme, event, or meaning and thusly is leaving most underwhelmed.
Yet, it seems, the film has a vast and detailed philosophy and meaning behind it that does/will take multiple viewings to really fully experience and appreciate the inherent complexity of the film.
Honestly, it's making me even more excited to see it.
