The fact that there's more shadowing under the Empire Joker's eyes, really makes him look much scarier then the Wizard's Joker...just my 2 cents

I agree with you that the Joker's face on the Empire cover is scarier, but I personally choose the new one.

I agree. These are my two favorites as well, I'm really liking the newest picture. The hair and makeup look far better in these two than in the Empire cover IMO. There's something very creepy about the newest picture, he's not really smiling...but it's the eyes.

Nah, don't agree with that. All fan film Jokers looked ridiculous, even with the benefit of a quality make up job and prosthetics. And the clothes for this movie are light years ahead of what was used in Batman '89. For me the jury's still out on the extended smile, though I already know I like it better than Nicholson's perma smile.

I agree not everyone can pull the look off, there's no fanfilm where I think the Joker looks great. And while I do like the Joker's ensemble in TDK of what I've seen, I think Nicholson's Joker attire was better. He was one snazzy dresser who hardly wore the same thing twice, so I'd put his light years ahead.

Not necessarily true. I'd say the new pic and the WSS car pic look very similiar. I think it's safe to say that those scenes closely follow each other.

Jack was great and definately paid homage to certain eras of Joker. He fit perfectly fine into Burton's films and did an amazing job.

But Ledger is something new and I believe is gonna be utterly fantastic and totally creepy.

I like this pic better than the empire one. But I think for different reasons than most. Empire is 'scarier', but it somehow feels like it is trying too hard (probably cuz it's a posed shot), and with the lighting it just seems like Heath is a little bit buried beneath the makeup.

As far as 'the look' goes, I'm fine with it.

thats the one problem i have with this joker so far. i wish he had a few more outfits...and i don't think he does.

i'm over the make up and i'm over the cut smile. i don't even mind the whole "hobo" thing. before we saw any pics of the joker...if you asked me to imagine how he was going to look....this is pretty close to what i was thinking we were going to get. punk/vivienne westwood influences. i even imagined him to be a smoker.
