I can see how the animation style might take some getting used to for some people. I didn't care for the designs when I first saw them either and I tend to like simplified styling. But they have grown on me and I'm sure they will on you guys too. Let's get down to some characters now...
Peter/sPidey- Looks a bit young, sure, but so does everybody else on the show. It's interesting that they gave him a little "beauty mark" under his right eye because up until now I've called nondescript white male brunettes "Peter Parkers" and now he acually has a distinguishing characteristic. sPider-Man's simplified design gets no complaints for me if it makes him easier to animate. I'll overlook the expressive eyes.
Gwen- Why'd they have to make her so ugly? I mean, honestly, glasses and sweatpants? Ugh!

Seriously Pete, tap that before she gets thrown off a bridge.
Harry- Richie Rich is a bigger dork than Peter Parker. Kind of a downgrade. He better have some good character development down the line.
Eddie Brock- Ok, I'm liking this route. It harkens back to Ultimate Venom and makes their inevitable falling out so much more deliciously tragic.
Aunt May- I'd hit that. DAMMIT, GALLOWAY! Learn how to draw old peole!
Curt- I don't care for the robot arm. Like someone said before, having one arm made him more sympathetic. Plus this ventures into the overly futuristic terrain I hated so much about the 90s toon. But it's cool. His character has a likeable "absent minded professor" vibe to it. I just wish he sounded a little smarter sometime.
Norman Osbourne- A redheaded Chinaman? Affirmative action at Kids WB, now you're just getting silly! v_v; Overlooking that, he's a royal, unapologetic *****ebag. Even when Vulture's flying his ass around NYC with dagger-feet, he still refuses to apologize and belittles him.
Vulture: I'm what you called me! A Vulture!
Norman: I called you a buzzard!
Vulture: What!?
Norman: I called you a buzzard and you can't even get THAT right!
Bravo.
Liz Allen- I don't mind that they went down the hisPanic route. But the whiney accent's a bit much. With a last name like Allen, you'd assume her dad's probably white and she grew up in this country. Because you're an awful racist.

And while we're on that issue...
Enforcers/Hammerhead/probably black Kingpin- Now unlike Ultimate Enforcers where Ox was a giant black dude, sPectacular Fancy Dan (pimp name?) is a petite sized black dude. sPectacular Ox is pretty badass cosidering he jumps off a building after sPidey but that silly mustache is a liability. Montana...flies a helicoper. Hopefully, he weilds a lasso or whip later on. Hammerhead's a henchman (for now) with a pretty "meh" design. And Kingpin, who for now is just an ominous presence appears to be voiced Kieth David who only played a white guy when Goliath turned human those couple of times on Gargoyles. I guess Michael Clark Duncan had better things to do.
