Sequels Recasting the X-Men for the MCU

I’m afraid so yes. I would prefer a nice bolagnaise

^He does have the teeth for it, I'll give him that.

Luke Evans is tall for Logan. We're overdue for a short Wolverine.

He could play Sinister for sure. He's got the teeth for that too if you go by the cartoon.

And also too hot for the Wolverine. He'd be fine as Sinister.

I can dig Evans as Wolverine.

Yep, Luke Evans as Sinister. I'll take it. Cut the check.

If Jackman is out, I would definitely like to see all those different shapes and sizes in the XMen too. I feel most ensemble comic book movie films have had their characters look roughly the same size, isn't that strange?

Jean's meant to be more delicate than, say, Rogue or Psylocke. Although Rogue for sure would never be expected to lift what the more muscular Colossus or Beast could (but she's supposed to!). Wolverine's shorter but also very muscular. Gambit for sure needs to be lean and swift. If you need someone to match the Hollywood looks to a T, it'd have to be Angel. Nightcrawler's a circus performer. Storm's not usually a melee character, so, I figure her body doesn't specifically have to look too athletic like Wonderwoman (something healthy, maybe even a little bit chunkier). Emma Frost has the most expensive body money can buy or so she said once. Shadowcat's a bit of a runner, so she's a bit on the leaner side too. Then there's Scott, who's usually drawn in a tall muscular build, as opposed to Beast or Wolverine.

It'd definitely be nice if they stuck to the general comic book descriptions more than hollywood's requirements.

I’m watching a cool German show at the moment called kuntergrau that has an actor called Daniel kosic. He would make an amazing nightcrawler

Riley Keough really looks the part tbh. #MCUJeanGrey

Hopefully we'll get that in the reboot. No more tall and sexy Wolverine.

Totally agree. Wolverine was supposed to be the short and tough runt. The underdog.

No more Jean Grey please. She is too powerful a character to be used effectively in movies or TV.

I would want Emma Frost in her place.

I love jean. It’s funny that no one ever says Thor is too powerful. Jean is the heart and soul of the xmen and I would be devastated without her

They'll make something we've never seen before. Maybe a little Wolverine, Cyclops/Emma relationship, Magneto with magnetic field, Storm flirting with Tchalla ....

C. This had little to do with the primary point I'm making. Tony Stark did not start off as a child nor did Rogers or Strange. That's not the correlation I'm making. They start off as they were when they first appeared in the comics. Spider-Man was a child during his early years. Guess what he is in the MCU? A TEENAGER. Dealing with girls and homework exactly as he did in the first 30 issues of Amazing Spider-Man. So what do the X-Men start off as? Kids. Now based on Marvels TRACK RECORD - where would they start the X-Men in the MCU? 10 years into being the X-Men or right at the beginning like they do for all of their heroes? The answer is obvious.

I'm not the one creating a Straw Man. You are the one twisting my argument into something completely different than I intended it to be (As If Stark not being a kid has anything to do with the X-Men being kids. Stark was NEVER a teenager. That's not what he was in the comics) stating blatant incorrect facts about the movie (the origin stories being told via flashbacks) to validate your own argument.

I fail to see how you've come to the conclusion that Marvel will use flashbacks and start the X-Men off as seasoned, veterans when they've been doing the opposite of that for the past 10 years.

I hope we'll have already adult X-men, same age than actuals avengers. They may be disbanded since long time and form again x-men team, to explain their absence during NY invasion.

I do not want another lightskin storm. Dark Skin or they ca leave storm out completely. Also, Long White hair and blue eyes

I think there’s a very high chance of that happening with marvel in charge

This!

Well, thor is powerful, for sure. But if we're talking about Jean Grey with Phoenix potential, the comparison is not good at all: Phoenix is leagues and leagues above "gods", more on the level of Galactus. So I can see why people would consider her too powerful.

The comics may not back me up on this one, but I've always felt Storm's powers make her less of a melee character unlike Rogue and Psylocke. And don't get me wrong, Rogue and Psylocke are drawn in a very curvy way, but I think it'd be nice if Storm were a bit chunkier and I'm thinking of Beyoncé's body type when I say this.
