Sequels Recasting the X-Men for the MCU

I have not been impressed with his acting skills.. at all.
I've only seen him in Suicide Squad and Pacific Rim though.

He looks like more of an Angel to me. He may even relate to that role, no?

yeah, he's a pretty boy, absolutely the opposite to Wolverine.
he fits Angel better, tho he isnt my first choice for Warren, but I could accept him in the role, if he brings something different from his day to day vibe.

Well I also meant he is the son of someone fairly important. Angel has a lot to live up to but he isn’t good enough because he’s a mutant.

During the era of original trilogy, I wanted this roster

Prof X: Patrick Stewart
Cyclops : James Marsden
Wolverine : Hugh Jackman
Jean : Famke Janssen
Storm : Halle Berry
Beast : Kesley Grammer
Colossus : Daniel cudmore
Iceman : Shawn Ashmore
Rogue : Anna Paquin
Kitty : Ellen Page
Jubilee : Kea Wong
Nightcrawler : Alan Cumming
Gambit : Taylor Kitcsh
Psylocke : Olivia Munn
Angel : Ben Foster

Having this casting in a movie would be the greatest x-men team for a x-men movie

However, for X-men reboot I want Cyclops Wolverine Jean/or Emma Frost Storm Beast Colossus Iceman Rogue Kitty Jubilee Nightcrawler Gambit Psylocke Angel Havok Polaris all toghether
And younger x-men students : X23, Armor, Pixie ..

I'm in the minority, but I would like to feature Banshee early on (possibly as a founding member) and later Siryn as a young recruit. That's two underutilized characters, and a potentially great father-daughter team. Banshee should be Domhnall Gleeson as suggested before, and Theresa could be Annalise Basso or, if we want younger, Sophia Lillis.

So two random ideas I had are
Elizabeth Lail for Jean Grey because she looks exactly how I Invisioned the character to look girl and she's a fantastic actress as seen on "You"

And Tom Payne as Wolverine

yeah, he is a bit bland as an actor, and his face doesnt help (no shade).
I imagine Harrington posing or looking serious to Charles Xavier or Jean, and I just cant buy him as Wolverine lol.
we need an actor that easily gives a "dirty" vibe. savage, wild, and yeah, a bit ugly too. that would be perfect

Yeah plus he used a bum double in game of thrones

Alicia Vikander would make a great Jean Grey or Emma Watson I think they fit the sort of look they should be going for with the character.

I love the idea of Ewan as Xavier but wouldn't mind if they went with an American actor and differentiated from Patrick`s Charles.

I'm hoping they follow the more Evolution series ages of the characters with Jean and Scott being more around college or university age and eventually becoming mentors to the younger lot its be a nice progressive arc that we never really got to see on film.

Yeah, an entire generation has no idea that Xavier in the comics wasn't British, and even before that the vast majority of fans were clamouring to see Stewart in the role, myself included.

Colm Feore has moved up to my top pick if they want to capture the classic comics vibe (and no I haven't seen him in Umbrella Academy yet), especially since he's the same age Stewart was when he first played the role.

Aaron Eckhart as Xavier could be interesting.
he was my Cable.
really tall and quite imposing. imo, a better choice than Brolin.
who knows.... Cable may be recast in the near future.

I'd rather shake up the X-Men team and mix in some new mutants with old favourites:
Professor X
Wolverine
Magneto
Colonel Stryker (although he is not a mutant, he has a naughty name ;))
Beast
should be the founding members.
The first group of students should be:
Cyclops
Emma Frost
Shadowcat
Angel
Toad
Jubilee
Colossus
Princess Elsa (from Frozen, but is OK now because Disney owns both franchises now).
Nightcrawler

If Stryker appears in the MCU, I guarantee they'll return him to his Reverand roots from the comics. The Marvel films have no shortage of Colonels.

Nice. That would be really cool.

Incredibly controversial though. They might have to have a daredevil movie reboot at the same time so they don’t get hit with the anti religion tag

I'd rather see the Stryker character pushed aside in favor of guys like Gyrich, Trask, and Graydon Creed.

I’m sure everyone will get a go eventually.

It’s weird that if they adapted Stryker authentically people would say he’s a pence anology despite the character existing long before pence popped up on the radar
