I finally watched the movie last monday.

I liked it more than the others, but they really could reduce the number of slow motion scenes. Sometimes it was great, others it was just unnecessary.

Yeah, even people who loved the film, knew the slow mo was going overboard. But I do admit, when she was running through the crowd shooting the zombies, that was pretty cool.

I was joking with my buddy today that if they sped up this film to normal speed it would be a 15 minute film

Not sure if it has been posted or not but here is a link to an early draft of Resident Evil Afterlife.

From all the interviews from the cast I'm pretty sure part of the extended Osprey crash scene from the script was filmed because Shawn Roberts talked about the special effects make up that made him look like a burnt corpse and how he spent six hours in prosthetics for 15 seconds of onscreen time.

Fans of Resident Evil 0 will obviously recognize the big references to that game since Wesker was originally intended to experience a similar fate to Dr. James Marcus.

Talking about him, who do you guys think would be a good villain for the fifth movie?

a true tyrant? It's a shame we already had an "Ashford". Alfred and Alexia would be cool villains

Alex and Alexia can still show up. Ashford is aa family name, just because one character had it doesn't mean more can't have the same last name.

Little girl could still show up. If they caught Jill, they can catch that little girl. How old is she now? Probably in her teens.

Well they are obviously setting up Jill to be a villain in the next movie. Plus we know Wesker will be back. I think leaon will be in the next movie along with the other cast members. I would love to see more monsters from the old and new games. More lickers, a real tyrant, hunters, that creepy spiked tyrant looking thing in RE 4 that would grow back limbs. And animals infected with the virus like sharks lol.

Hunters should get in. Hell I would like to see one of those chainsaw wielding *******s from RE4 too

...but then you'd have people trying to argue 'realism' and how they could power those chainsaws. :oldrazz:

well the executioner was able to swing and throw the axe so its not that far of a stretch for the chainsaw guy to appear. i actually wouldnt mind that as long as he wasnt the big bad guy of the film. the new zombies wesker has been messing with in afterlife seem like they have some sort of intelligence

The Chainsaw guys were always really startling when they would show up in RE4. I always knew I was ****ed when I heard that chainsaw start up. They could provide some cool scenes in the next RE film

I like the artwork. Looking forward to number 5. Wonder when that will come out with Milla's baby on the way...

Since the movie doesn't have its own thread. Thought I'd post this here.

hehe that was the same release date as Apocalypse on DVD. I remember quite clearly being frustrated I couldn't get it on Christmas day. I'll be getting this one regardless!!! Can't wait!!!!

Good, the more good material that is released in other platforms the more good inspiration the Resident Evil live action films will have.

i concur. dont think i'll be satisfied till i see a g-monster in a live action film tho
