That's why you have to strike when the iron is hot and beat down their self esteem with subtle jabs and work on their insecurities. I find things like "you're never going to do better than me." lowers the self esteem just enough so they'll never leave.
My mom helps. She hears about my handling of my bf being indecisive about what he's gonna do or where he's gonna live and she says, "Tell him he won't find a better gf than you." :funny:

Unless the sex is so good you don't notice that they're completely wrong for you for the first five or six years. :o
Five or six years? Must be some GOOD sex. :o

Pfft, my uncle and aunt stayed together for 20 years. Couldn't stand each other. If they weren't fighting, they were f**king. Had 15 kids. It finally ended when she shot his ass.

That is exactly the case with my brother and his wife. AND he just sent me a picture of the new .45 he bought. Bit foreshadowing, if you ask me....

That's kind of....terrifying. :wow:

That'll make sure she doesn't get on his bad side. :o:csad:

I told him the next time they have a fight she's going to shoot him. She's crazy.

Not true - WEDDINGS are what you're referring to :oldrazz:

Hahaha, you got me on that one...i have to give you that! But i know you get the point lol :cwink::hrt:

I'd rather have something private...I don't care about a big show. I just want a gorgeous dress. In fact, I'd love to just go to a beautiful island with him, and perhaps a friend for each of us, and get married outside and have a really nice photoshoot afterwards. Then, we'd already be on location for the honeymoon. We wouldn't have to worry about who to invite and our family's preferences and spend an absurd amount of money.

See, that actually doesnt sound to bad to me.....but when you think about how much it costs to go to an island and fly people there, to get married, photoshoot....you might want to consider a big wedding back home instead hahaha :oldrazz:

See in America this is one of the more healthier relationships. :woot:

If a couple of our friends wanted to come, they'd have to pay their own way lol. We could just find a photographer who lived on the island ahead of time! It wouldn't cost much more than the honeymoon itself to just get married there

Yeah, flying to an island would be waaaay cheaper. You can find a decent deal, all inclusive for a couple grand ... easy. Anyone that wants to attend (if you even open it up to others) have to pay their own way. No need for a professional photographer, someone at the resort would do it rather cheap.

My wife's sister went this route ... we went with the big, traditional wedding. Their's was a lot cheaper ... we made a lot more money in gifts :woot:

I can definitely see the pluses and minuses of each. We considered the island wedding too.

I'm gonna go the super cheap route and just never get married at all :woot:

Well the more important question is, am I invited?? :woot: lol

I definitely like the island idea. I'd want one in Hawaii actually...not that i ever plan on getting married. I dont want to go from CrashNburn to BallNchain hahaha :oldrazz:

haha i can't tell if this is a true story or one of Anubis' stories

All of Anubis' stories are true.

True story. :o

A question. What does a relationship provide? I mean aside from like sex and stuff. Because I'm trying to work backwards here. Me and my girlfriend have broken up, as I said. But I'm trying to work out exactly what I've lost. I mean she was my best and closest friend and she did things that other friends would never do for me. I shared my life with her perhaps no more than I would a friend, really. I restricted how I spent my time and who I talked for her, so now without her I have more freedom and more money.

In losing her it seems I just have to use my hand and my life will be romanceless and I'll have one less friend until I find someone else. But surely there is more to a break up than that or I wouldn't feel so ****.

No, that's about it. You feel like s**t because of those pesky feelings.

In the words of the great Daria Morgandorfer, try to feel some other way.....that'll be 10 dollars. We accept Paypal.

Wow, something seemingly so deep and complex with all the emotions and stuff is really just so simple. It's just a friendship where you have sex and do corny things for one another.

And lets not forget all that Dopamine flying all over the place.

I think it's deeper than a friendship, but yeah, that's all it is - a really good friendship. But it depends on how you have friendships, since I don't really hang out with friends all that much (only every once in a while) but I feel totally comfortable with having my bf around me for a much longer period of time.

And if you were restricting what you were doing and who you talked to for this girl, I would consider it kind of a crap friendship as well. :oldrazz:
