Na I don't think he needs to be explosive or aggresive like Joker. He should be cold and calculating, not showing his true emotions. Thats what could be creepy about him, all the time he is this softly spoken nerdy fed, but underneath he could be boiling with rage from being ridiculed by his peers and the failure to catch Batman. Only when Riddler has been made to look a fool should we see him explode with rage or something like that.

Agreed. To get Freudian with it, Joker is pure id, while Riddler is more cold, calculating superego (at least outwardly). If Riddler gets explosive and aggresive, it should be a sign he's really losing his cool.

Yea I see what you're saying. He should only show his true emotions when things have gone pear shaped and he realizes his carefully laid plans are falling apart.

They are all has a grandiose sense of self-importance
is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
believes that he or she is "special" and unique
requires excessive admiration
has a sense of entitlement
is interpersonally exploitative
lacks empathy
is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her
shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes..

So even if plans fail, he will see it as His own Doing and since he does no wrong
it's all part of the plan.

most people with Narcissistic personality disorder who are confronted deal more in the lines of going more silent and shutting down OR in some cases go more beyond their means to be right

Yea but say if Batman foils his grand plan, a plan he has meticulously set out, I could imagen that would be the only time Riddler gets angry, completely loses it. It would also drive his obsession with Batman further, making him more unstable and dangerous.

If that does happen it wouldn't End well
and it really wont go well if someone who is powerful and has a Super powered Ego and is faced with failer the mind can't handel it so they will turn Violent

Hmmm maybe you are right. Maybe it would be better if he bottled it up inside, fuelling his insanity. That could work well with my idea that we as the audience hear him thinking, he is sorta narrating his parts as well if you know what I mean? As the film progresses his thoughts become more and more unhinged and disturbing. I think it would be really interesting to watch him gradually lose his grip on reality through his own thoughts.

I mean sounds too Wonder years or soap opera

We're dealing with a Calculated man who stands, loves and built a home on the line between Genuis and mad man, he doesn't just stand and think up a Dialoge for us to hear

I can see him in private moments in his office opening the brifecase he always carries and in it are carvings, writtings and doodles of his mind

those type of people ALWAYS write,draw and exspress themselves silently because of the idea that someone is always listening and will steal their ideas

Yea but someone like him is going to be constantly thinking, his mind is going to be racing at all times. Maybe hearing some of them thoughts could be interesting. As he gets more and more crazy maybe he could start day dreaming or something. Some one could be talking to him and their voice trails off and then we start hearing Nashton/Nygma's thoughts, completely irrelevant to what he was talking about to the other person. Could be a good way to show him descending into madness.

Hahaha I've been thinking about that for a while, I haven't got the foggiest idea on how to write a script though. I might just write a rough story outline or something. Not tonight though, I will be too inebriated!

Sounds good. Yea I thought just some Federal Agent of some kind would work, doesn't necessarily need to be FBI.

i like the ATF idea plus you could use that with how the joker blew up the hospital as well...The Riddler could be brought in after the results of the Dark Knight to investigate the damage to the city then gets fixed on batman somehow and trys to expose his identity.
