I found one thing to like about this game. Samoa Joe of pro wrestling fame, is doing the voice for King Shark. That's cool.
Samoan Submission Shark.Samoan Submission Machine!

I didn't know this is taking place in Metropolis.... this should have been a Superman game especially there was an easter egg in Arkham Knight. I want to say I hope they make a Superman game after this, but its kinda hard to wish for something from Rocksteady/wb that would come until the late 2020s.
yes. and now that they've created the assets for Superman, Metropolis, and Brainiac, perhaps they can use those assets in a solo Superman game down the road.Wishful thinking on my end perhaps, but I hope this game is somewhat of an extensive 'test' for Superman as a character in 1 of their games. I hope there's a point in the game in which the SS breaks Brainiac's hold on Superman & you've an opportunity to use him as a character even if only briefly if only to just maybe gauge player reaction to how he plays.
I think that is what's bugging me the most about this game's existence. It's like literally rubbing salt in the wounds (and in the faces) of all the Superman fans who have been wanting FOR YEARS for Rocksteady to do a Superman game and finally give Superman the video game love and respect that Batman got with the Arkham games.I didn't know this is taking place in Metropolis.... this should have been a Superman game especially there was an easter egg in Arkham Knight. Yeah, I’m surprised they’ve reused it so much across different media. This "evil" Superman thing is getting really ****ing old, and I'm not even a huge Superman fan.

Another thing that I don't like is if its not Batman getting a videogame. Its his side characters. We are getting Gotham Knights and I see Harley Quinn as the face of the Suicide Squad in this game.I think that is what's bugging me the most about this game's existence. And then, seemingly every year, there has been some new rumor or leak that Rocksteady or WB games is working on a new Superman game. And every time, it leads to false hope and disappointment as said rumor fizzles out.
And now, FINALLY, we get the elements for a Superman game (Superman, open-world Metropolis, Brainiac) and it's for a Suicide Squad game. Where Superman is "bad" and we have to "kill" him.
I mean. It's not even a Justice League game where we play as the JL to stop Brainiac in an open-world Metropolis. I'd be more interested in THAT game than I am in a SS game with only 4 playable characters.![]()

It would have been refeshing if it was a Superman game and the supporting characters/enemies are from his catalogue. And even though the Justice League are appearing here, why would I want to see them as the enemies/bosses.
They could have made this a Superman game as last Superman game was a critically pannedmovie tie in. And if they wanted more playable characters then they could have made this as a Justice League game. Suicide Squad just doesn't appeal to me just likein the movies.
Not counting an Injustice 3, it would be the late 20s until there's a new DC game after this one unless Rocksteady pumps out a new game in 2025 or 2026. Well the other studios owned by DC could release games after this, but I have yet to play Arkham Origins, so I don't know what to expect with the quality of the games from WB Montreal. And I have no zero interest in Lego games.
