The Amazing Spider-Man Rules for the Reboot

So rules...damn i wish they can read this thread tho.

1. MORE badass action...less girl drama
2. Spider man's jokes
3. Idea or anything should be stick to the comic
4. non-spider man 3 style
4. beat TDK! yess i know it is hard but thats my wish ;)

Bloopers in the end credits, much like Jackie Chan movies
One blooper has Andrew saying: WALLOPINWEBSNAPPERS

He should be funny and quippy enough to squeeze money out of Jonah Jameson

Raimi was pretty true to the comics.

Yeah, like those comics where Peter was in love with MJ from childhood. Or the ones where Doc Ock was a good dude who was Peter's mentor. Or the ones where Peter slapped MJ and did a silly dance through a jazz club. Or the ones where Spider-Man was silent during fights. Or the ones where Harry flew around on a snowboard with a paintball mask on.

Oh wait.

Don't forget all of Spidey's little quips that weren't funny or clever... WOO HOO!!!!

Lol yes he was. Was it 100% faithful? No. Guess what...this movie is going to have a lot of changes so you better prepare yourself for a terrible movie if changes ruin movies.

I love how when one petty Raimi basher posts a little less, another one appears to pick up the slack. You can target select scenes and elements and nitpick them to death, but Raimi was still a lot truer to the source material than most comic book adaptations are to their respective comics. (The only exception I can think of would be Watchmen.) This board would be a lot less annoying if you lot took a moment out of your day to get friendly with the definition of 'adaptation.'

Well, on the comic thing; it seems like costume is the biggest change.

-Peter's in high school*
-Gwen is love interest*
-Web-shooters

*Technically he met Gwen in college but being in high school is quite a difference from the Raimi trilogy so it was needed.

So far that you know of. It will have changes, all adaptations do.

Of course. I wasn't saying it will be more faithful. Trust me, it probably won't.

faithful doesn't mean good before anyone decides to invest in that idea...

Norman Osborn
Harry Osborn
Mary Jane Watson
Otto Octavius
Flint Marko
Eddie Brock Jr.
Everyone who had a camera phone on that train and was willing to do some research.
Everyone down on the ground at that construction site who had a camera or binoculars with the ability to zoom in and who were willing to do some research.

In other words....TOO MANY PEOPLE!!

All of those people on the train and construction site know who Peter Parker is? I mean if I saw someone's face in a city of 22 million I would easily be able to find them again.

22 million?! Jeezus! I guess I don't know my own city very well.

Manhattan has a little over 11 million. Where the hell did you get 22?

But still, your right.

So if someone takes a picture of an unmasked Spider-Man they could not sell it to a publication (Bugle/JJ)? and they could not identify who this "unmasked" person is?

Census! Also, Pete lives in one of the burrows and the census counted all the burrows that make up NYC. I think I count 6 people that knew Peter was Spidey and 4 of those are deadzo.

You better start hating this movie right now because he is walking down the street with no mask on. A stranger could easily see him and find out who he is.

Oh, your counting all the boroughs. Yeah, your probably right then.

The Raimi films were fairly faithful adaptations. Yes, he changed stuff. So did Christopher Nolan. Does that make his Batman films unfaithful? Not all of Raimi's changes worked, but to say he wasn't faithful to Spider-Man as a whole, I disagree with.
