Spidey can't commute?
NYC including all the Burroughs is like 17 million. I don't want to add it up on a calculator because I really don't care. Then if you count all the suburbs then there ya go. It really doesn't matter if I am a couple million off, that is still a **** load of people.
No. Including the boroughs is 8 million. I looked it up. Including the whole metro area, it's 19 million. That's the 8 million in NYC, which is Manhattan and the other four boroughs, all of them, all the boroughs, every borough, all five of them, plus the 11 million in suburbs and nearby cities.
And it doesn't matter if Spider-Man commutes (which he doesn't; he lives somewhere in the city, it's pretty clear). He pretty much only goes to four places: home, work, Aunt May's, and school. Work and Aunt May's are off this train in real life. His school and possibly his home are off it in the movie. The train, being something like ten cars long, each car holding probably fifty people, likely contains at least one person Peter sees on a daily basis in one of those places. Even if that person somehow forgets what goddamn Spider-Man looks like, the picture he or she sends into the Bugle would not.
And I can't tell you who that girl is or where she lives, but I'm sure the biggest newspaper in New York could, especially if she worked for them, and especially if they had a reason to care like they would in the case of finding the identity of Spider-Man. I mean, ****, 4chan could do it now, just for ****s and giggles.
