Scenes In Movies That Make You Cry

Rocky III: When Mickey dies.

Rocky IV: When Apollo died, and also Rocky's "If I can change, everybody can change" speach at the end.

Red Dawn: The end when Charlie Sheen and Patrick Swayze die.

Return Of The Jedi: When those two ewoks are running away from the Imperial Walker, and a laser blast knocks them down. Then one of them gets back up and tries to get his friend to come with him, only to discover that the other ewok is dead. Whether you like the ewoks or hate them, you gotta admit that that's a touching scene.

Star Trek: TNG: The episode where Tasha Yar died, during her funeral at the end.

Star Trek: DS9: The episode where Dax died.

Just watched A New Hope recently and that little smile Obi-Wan gives Vader just before he's struck down got me a little misty eyed. Especially after seeing the prequel trilogy and knowing what they'd been through, it's like Obi-Wan still remembers the good times, even after everything Anakin has done.

Was there a reason why Obi-Wan just let him kill him like that?

Was there a reason why Obi-Wan just let him kill him like that?

It so that he could become one with The Force and continue Luke's training from beyond the grave. Also he knew that he was no longer able to defeat Vader in a lightsabre duel.

"You can't win. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

Click ..that one really caught me off guard.

Here on Earth , I definitely got teary eyed.

1) The first several minutes of Up.

2) Forrest Gump: When Gump sees his son for the first time and asks whether the kid is like him...you realize that he knows and is aware of his intelligence...and it's kind of heartbreaking. Throughout the movie you just kind of assume he's oblivious. That's how he acts, anyways.

Also, when he's talking to Jenny's grave.

The Wrestler when Ram is talking to his daughter.

Rocky Balboa the beast inside me scene.

Con Air - Cage finally meet his wife and daughter
Titanic - The ending

The ending of Edward Scissorhands always gets me, when Edward says "Goodbye..." and she says "I love you." So great.

The first movie I ever cried at was E.T., I was 12 at the time. When I thought he was dead, I bawled my eyes out.

Titanic, when the ship broke in half (excellent cinematography, and the realization that it was a historical event that happened) and when DiCaprio's character slipped into the water (I didn't know he was supposed to die in the film) made me cry.

LOTR ROTK, when Aragorn said, "My friends, you bow to no one." it brought tears to my eyes. Also when Aragorn gave his speech to the Men of the West, it sent shivers up my spine.

And the finale of Lost. I had invested 6 years into the characters. During that time, I had lost my marriage, started a different life, and finally moved in with my mom to take care of her. They were a constant in my life, that I will always miss.

Scenes that made me cry?

LOTR:Return of the King; When Frodo says goodbye to Sam and the others before boarding the Elven ship.

Patriot: When the little girl Sue started crying for Mel towards the end before he goes off to battle.

Solaris: I cried after I watched about 30mins of the movie and realized I paid money for this crap:doh:

King Kong(remake): When King kong dies and when King Kong and the girl where playing on the ice,was a sad moment the music made it more that way I think.

I Am Sam can make me cry like nothing else. I think What's Eating Gilbert Grape has some very sad moments too, but I flat-out bawl during I Am Sam. Honorable mention to Mufasa's death in Lion King, as well.

Inception : the ending. The music time is just fantastic

Meet Joe Black : Last scene

The Dark Knight : Ending, the speech from Gordon, the music and at the same time i was thinking about Heath Ledger, just so sad that he is not more around with us.

The Land Before Time : As a kid i was blown away by the music, the story was so great, it still is. Full of emotion even for a movie for kids

Terminator 2 : ''goodbye''

The first movie I ever cried at was E.T., I was 12 at the time. When I thought he was dead, I bawled my eyes out.

And that movie gets to be even more of a tearjerker the older I get, I swear. :csad:

the one that ALWAYS gets me is My Dog Skip when you see the little boy going off to college and Skip the dog is very old. you see him trying to get onto the boys bed and he is struggling. the dad (who never wanted him to have the dog in the beginning) helps Skip onto the bed and he lays down to sleep. you see the mom come in later and you see that look on her face that she knows he is not sleeping. you hear a voice over by the adult boy saying that he got a letter for a telegram from his mom saying that "Skip's dead honey" and how they burred him in the back yard and how you never forget the dog of your youth. my first dog I got when i was like 5 years old passed away when I was in high school. that bit ALWAYS makes me tear up!

Passion of the Christ, carrying the cross scene.

UP (from Pixar) the scene at the beginning showing the life and death of his wife. ugh...get's me everytime.

Grave of the Firelies
When Seita little sister dies of malnutrition and then has to cremate her. The ending is sad also

UP (from Pixar) the scene at the beginning showing the life and death of his wife. ugh...get's me everytime.

For me it was the end. When he picks up the book again and finds the rest of her pictures and captions and stuff. I cried, dude. I'm teary eyed right now. Craziness.

the end of kite runner...holy crap, i had to check to see if i still had testicles after that cry.

and Forrest Gump...several scenes, they didn't bother me when I was a kid but now i get a lil lump in my throat when he sees Lt. Dan waiting on the docks. When he talks to Jenny's Grave.

When brooks hangs himself in Shawshank Redemption. Or the end when Andy waves to Red.

When piggy dies in Lord of the Flies (1990 version)

Gordy's dream in Stand By Me where his father says "it should have been you."

When Ricky gets shot in Boyz N The hood

i guess those are emotional scenes...but not ones that made my cry but still came close. I probably have more.

Simon Birch - the death scene gets me every time

Schindler's List - the scene where he's crying about all the lives he didn't save. Powerful stuff.

This one didn't make me cry, but my mom bawled her eyes out. The end scene in Best Of The Best, where Team Korea is handing their gold medals over to Team USA. Then again, Mom cries at all kinds of movies.

2) Forrest Gump: When Gump sees his son for the first time and asks whether the kid is like him...you realize that he knows and is aware of his intelligence...and it's kind of heartbreaking. Throughout the movie you just kind of assume he's oblivious. That's how he acts, anyways.

The first few minutes of Up and the first and last few minutes of Toy Story 3. The beginning of the movie had me misty eyed due to nostalgia and the last few minutes was like saying goodbye to my childhood :(
